I've purchased a few different knives/hatches/multi-tools for rigorous outdoor/camping use, and I have to say this is by far the best I've encountered so far. The knife itself is very sturdy, and feels very solid and controlled in the hand. The heavier butt with the metal knob for breaking glass is a nice addition, although I have not needed to shatter any glass with it, it adds a really nice weighted feel to the handle. The most important part of this product, and the reason for my 5 stars, however, is the sharpness of the blade - I expected to need to sharpen this blade after it arrived, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The blade showed up even sharper than I could get it with a wetstone at home, and the sharpness lasted through 7 days of camping in the wilderness cutting all kinds of things - shaving wood, cutting rope and nylon, it was our main food prepping knife, and we were even able to fillet a larger fish with this blade at its sharpest, although not the best blade for it, it performed fine nonetheless!

Good little blade, tang doesnt feel full, and handle a little short. Blade is Sharp, but not Razor sharp. saw blade might be a bit wide and might reduce knife return on a stab to a living creature.

Knife is made of light weight metal if it is stainless steel its very light which means it could break easily but over all for the price its a decent piece of hardware and very nice looking.

I have about 8 knifes and this one is by far my best purchase and my personal favorite. Usually with knifes you have to sharpen them when they arrive but this one came REALLY sharp. You could shave with this knife. It has very nice feel to it and the grip is comfortable and the added weight in the back feels nice and balanced. If your looking for a first fixed blade knife this would for sure be the one to get

This is not a good hunting knife

Looked great and stable, pretty sharp considering its price. Went to the forest dropped it a few times and because of its weak rat tail tang blade is very loose. Very cheap material and cheap build. Knife is light and feels weak. I would advise completely surrounding the handle over that rat tail tang to keep it stable. The screw in the back won't fully tighten the tang anymore.

Was looking for a decent knife that I could take out when I go fishing on the lake. I didn't want to spend too much money because I am really hard on my knives and beat the up and then just replace them. When this one arrived I was at first skeptical because it seemed so light and I was worried about the overall quality. After using this for just one day I was both impressed and really happy.It holds and edge and the saw blade on the top works well. I really like this knife and will be be buying DAX in the future

Is very sharpy and a good product for its price!
