Enermax 5.25 Inch Drive Bay for single 3.5 Inch SATA/SAS HDD Mobile Rack, EMK5101

Mine working great for year+ using RAID1. Note other comment of not seeing both drives did not give much detail, but manual has strong warning about turning off power before changing mode switch. JBOD, RAID1, RAID0, NOR (Not Raid) - The software settings and switch settings must match, especially NOR switch. This didn't work for me. Any time I had two drives plugged in, it would only recognize one, at most on the no raid setting. I wanted to boot my machine with a SanDisk SSD and a laptop 2TB drive using the same SATA connector since I have an AIO. I could never get the SSD to be recognized in the EMK3203 device, only the regular laptop drive. I'm not sure what the root cause is, but the SSD works perfectly when booting by itself. I didn't bother checking any of the other raid settings since they wouldn't work for my purposes.

Solidly made, but I failed to notice before I clicked "add to cart" that there are NO indicator lights on this rack. So if you're having boot issues, you won't know if it's the drive or a power issue. Other than that, it's OK.The Enermax mobile rack is in the top slot in the attached photo. Note the absence of indicator lights. BTW, for you computer guys who notice things, the floppy drive in the pic is just a filler until I put something in that bay.

Worked with most HHDs, but not my 12TB HHDs.They would not seat properly.I took the Enermax apart and the problem appeared to be with the way the HHD was guided onto the connector.I have other mobile racks that do not have a exterior case and they look very similar to the insides of the Enermax and they work.The height is not compatible with any of our tower cases at work.

Throughput on the product was only speed of a single drive, felt like it wasn't living up to what Raid 0 was supposed to be. So, I returned it, so, it does do what it says it does, it's just that it's not performing as what Raid 0 should be performing at.

If you have used the other kind that are not enclosed and break, you'll appreciate this hot swap. Cool fan in the back. Works excellent and very stealth.

Para conectar dos discos en mi PC de escritorio, es muy util ya que puedo poner dos discos pequeños y prácticamente convertirlo en uno solo.

it did see my two drives but it also lock up the system and it finallly booted only saw one drive

Me permite instalar discos duros de manera temporal para pruebas y recuperación de información, no encuentro aún algún punto negativo.
