Heavy duty cord. Good for outdoor or indoor uses, especially in a shop with power tools, near damp areas or concrete flooring. Simple to use and reliable, so far

Excellent product & superb warranty service when it quit 11 3/4 months in service.
GFCI technology can save your life in a pinch. This is a well thought out device, and superior to ones I have worn to a frazzle in decades past. My first one of this newer design failed in its eleven month of use. I immediately ordered a replacement because I refuse to put family members at risk using electric yard tools such as hedge trimmers. During that reordering process I noticed that I had purchased the first one during August last year, roughly 51 weeks ago. When the new order arrived I confirmed that the warranty period shown on the paperwork lasts 12 full months. What luck! So I hunted through Amazon's web page for the company's contact info and dropped them a note asking how I might request warranty service. The company was ultra-polite throughout the process. They asked that I furnish the order # and to describe the problem in detail, suggesting pictures or a short video if possible. I did so. They asked if I would like a replacement and I indicated that would be delightful. They arranged for Amazon to send one my way and kept me informed at every step of the process. Bravo! I sent my original email query on Sunday afternoon 20 August. The supplier replied early Monday. I took my sweet time making and sending the 30 second video. Nevertheless, the replacement arrived Friday afternoon on 25 August. Impressive! If you're wondering what's the big deal about GFCI protection, consider this. (By the way, all of my kitchen circuits are GFCI protected.) I routinely stab an English muffin during its last minute in the toaster to see if it is 'just right'. I usually do that with an all-metal knife. I make sure that I do NOT touch the red hot Ni-chrome wire inside the toaster with the metal knife. I make equally certain that I am not using the other hand to turn on/off the kitchen sink's metal faucet located a few feet away. Were I to screw that up I could get a 120 volt wake up that would probably not kill me but would hurt like the dickens. If that circuit is GFCI protected, the odds of a shock being lethal is dramatically reduced. Similarly, if my wife is standing on wet soil in wet shoes while using a hedge trimmer that has faulty insulation, the odds of her being injured is dramatically decreased IF THERE IS a GFCI device somewhere between her and the Grand Coulee Dam's power generators. It's magic. The GFCI detects any GF...meaning "ground fault" and it interrupts the circuit (CI) in roughly fifteen one-thousandths of a second. You get a poke that you'll probably remember but you'll 'live and learn' in all but the rarest of cases. That is an over-simplification but GFCI saves lives.

It works and works good, cuts the power instantly if it senses a fault
Yes it definitely works and will cut the power got this connected to a pool pump and is much needed. Yes for outdoor use I wouldn't run something without it and is well worth it's price and is very versatile and has three outlet on it and is light weight and the indicator light is a big plus, let's me see it at night. Yes very recommended.

A nice safe extension plug
This a great extension plug that is well built and provides safety. The light is a nice addition because it shows itโs working but there is no option to shut it off. Itโs pretty short so this more of an option to provide 2 more additional safe outlets, rather than length.

Good extension cord with GFCI protection for under sink use
I bought this when I added an under sink RO water filter and needed another under sink outlet. Have the RO filter and dishwasher on this extension cord and the garbsge disposal on the other outlet. I attached the extension cord on the wall so it is up off the floor of the under sink, just in case I get any water leaks.
