Fits and works perfectly
This is a real Samsung side vent kit, not a knock-off, and it installed easily like it should with no surprises. Watch online videos for step by step instructions and the job isnโt difficult. Exactly what you need to convert your dryer to right, left, or bottom vent.

needed for venting dryer
I bought a stackable samsung dryer with a side vent for my tiny laundry closet. It needed this adapter kit for the install. Fortunately I read the instructions from Best Buy and ordered the kit ahead of time so the install went well. I didn't need all the pieces but this is how it comes. I was happy it arrived quickly and the installers had no issues. They seem sturdy and function as needed.

Easy to Install and Solid Quality
This vent kit was exactly what I needed for my Samsung dryer. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, making installation straightforward. The parts feel solid and well-made, and everything fits together nicely. After using it for a few weeks, itโs holding up perfectly and does its job without any issues. Definitely a reliable choice for a replacement or new vent setup.

It works, but pack your patience....
So, this kit did indeed work perfectly for redirecting the dryer exhaust out the side of my machine. BUT, its installation is not for the faint of heart. Samsung has great engineers, they need to make this process easier! Be prepared to crawl along on the floor, reaching rather blindly attempting to get things lined up correctly. Some small self-tapping screws are helpful to secure things in place where possible. Be sure to have good duct tape on hand. Putting the tape on after everything is assembled is completely blind luck. It's a little unnerving thinking if you don't do it exactly right lent could be released into the bottom of the machine and eventually become a fire hazard! Be sure to line the edges of the knockout hole with tape so you don't cut yourself as you work with your arms through the holes up to your elbows.

Samsung side vent.
Has everything you need to vent the dryer left, right or bottom. Itโs not a difficult job but you need to be comfortable taking the dryer almost completely apart.

Watch the videos. They help to demystify the process.
One supply issue and one concern that none of the other reviewers, pictures or videos tell you are: 1. No tape comes with the Samsung kit. Don't use duct tape as this will degrade over time. Get the aluminum tape for high heat. 2. My concern is the 90-degree turn of the vent is now above some wiring and I'm wondering if the heat will degrade the rubber around the wires. So, I'm putting some foil lightly over the wires to shield the heat out of abundance of caution.

Everything in this kit is there for your install
I purchased a new 2026 Samsung dryer, I needed a side vent kit, this kit i ordered had all the pieces and instructions to allow me to complete set up. I installed this kit within 20 minutes after reading instructions. I would say the only thing hard about this was applying the tape to connections on the materials, I have large hands and the opening on my dryer was combursom to work with, but I was able to apply tape to fittings.

Perfect Fit and Easy Install
Went online to watch many reviews and videos, most of which saying you needed to take the top, front, and entire drum assembly out to do this conversion. That was far too much trouble on a new dryer to attempt, and some of the reviews said it can be done without removing all that stuff. They were right. Entire project took less than 30 minutes (because I really take my time), but could probably be accomplished in 10-15 minutes easily. Just follow the simple instructions that came with this kit, and all the parts are clearly marked. Pictures along my progression for you. One single screw to take out the original Exhaust Vent, pop out the side vent disc (carefully)(I used a file to smooth rough spots right after popping it out), Now you have 2 holes to work with (I just placed a small flashlight inside while working for visibility). Bed the little support from the bottom of the dryer base and insert the FRONT Exhaust piece into the front of the dryer exhaust port. You then just turn that Front piece a half inch to lock into the bottom support. (I then inserted a small screw into the connection (didn't say you had to) for more assurance it would stay together. Insert the ELBOW onto the Front Exhaust towards the side you are venting to. Then insert the SIDE Exhaust piece into the elbow and out the side. I then reached through the back (original exhaust hole) and put a few small pieces of Duct Tape around the spots that I could reach (mostly because the part where the Elbow and Side piece connect appeared to have a bit of gap). Marked the spot for installing the screw in the side and drilled a 1/8th inch hole, then inserted the original screw from the back exhaust removed earlier and tightened. Insert the supplied plastic plate into the original exhaust hole, which just snaps in place. Installed my dryer vent hose to the outside vent spot and done. I'm over 60, overweight, and bad joints everywhere in my body and I could do this pretty easily laying on the floor, so anybody should be able to do it. Enjoy, and hope this helps somebody.

It's just vent pipe and an elbow. But it's a great solution to a common issue. I did the side vent and it fit perfect. If you want to install this yourself, you'll have to be a little bit mechanically inclined. You'll have to take the top off and drum out to be able to fit it in and tape it together.

Great kit, but be sure to verify that it fits your model dryer
Purchased this kit to clean up my Samsung dryer vent (right-side) which I had "fixed" once, but I began to notice a lot of lint behind my dryer. Sure enough the venting was disconnected from the blower inside the dryer. The contractor who installed it had MacGyver'd something up - and didn't tell me - which eventually failed. My attempt also failed and so I went for the Samsung kit figuring the higher cost would make for an easier fix. The kit is terrific, IF you have the right model dryer. I did not and as a result the setup inside the dryer wasn't compatible with the kit. This was a big problem because the vent inside the dryer could not be connected to the screw that keeps it from dislodging and sending lint everywhere. This made a relatively easy fix, a frustrating exercise in trying to figure out a way to attach the vent to the body of the washer without the right tools. There is a video on YouTube in which a guy with sheet-metal experience creates a fix - I tried pathetically to recreate. In the end, it took me close to 5 hrs to set it up. I was able to fix the vent via a screw to the side wall of the dryer and everything seems tight. My dryer is much, much more efficient as it is reaching higher temps and thus taking 1/3 the time to dry clothes. The kit has several different sized vents that you can use depending on your setup. I presume these are for newer Samsung dryers because they did not fit my dryer (2011). It has everything you need except aluminum duct tape and a vent clamp which are both key to tight vent connections, especially in the dryer. Check to verify the kit will work with your model dryer and it is easy peasy.

Right kit for the job
Kit came with all the parts I need. I did not realize I would have to deconstruct my dryer to do it, but here we are.
