STAR WARS The Black Series Jyn Erso 6-Inch-Scale Rogue One: A Story Collectible Action Figure, Toys for Kids Ages 4 and Up

One of my favorite characters from Star Wars films, and this figure does not disappoint. It suffers slightly from being an older release, but I never turn down a Jyn Erso figure at a reasonable price. :D

I actually received two of these as birthday gifts and returned this one; the figure is the new one that resembles Felicity Jones and very detailed. I was told that there are some figures with the old head sculpt that doesn't look like Felicity Jones but this wasn't one of them. I just didn't need two so this was returned

Excellent sculpting and likeness of Felicity Jones. The painting is very intricate as well. Multiple joints make for multiple poseability options. Only qualm is the neck's flesh color is noticeably lighter than the face - this looks like the neck color was painted on while the head's plastic may be flesh colored. But overall, Hasbro did an incredible job of bringing Jyn Erso to life.

The updated version is a fairly nice figure, the likeness with face-printing tech looks quite nice, and they added a few more painted details missing from the original like zippers and such. The hood and pistol accessories are the same as the original release. I'm knocking it down 1 star because the slightly-translucent plastic of the head doesn't look as real as the more opaque plastic on the similar Cassian Andor update and it affects the reality just a touch. This is super important though, WATCH OUT FOR FIGURE SWAPS! Originally I bought it as a "damaged package" version for a few bucks off and got the old junky figure instead, I then had to get a refund on that and buy the new version, it was really disheartening. For those who don't know, this is a repaint of the 2016 Black Series Jyn Erso figure. That original figure had terrible doll-like paint so it sat around, eventually hitting deep clearance of $5 at some places. Hasbro worstened the situation by re-releasing it in a 3-pack with another re-release and a new version of Cassian Andor, that set also hit deep clearance so there's a ton of that old, terrible painted Jyn out there. Some unscrupulous collector decided to upgrade his version for free, it seems like they bought it from Amazon, swapped out the figure for the new one and returned it claiming damage they didn't really have. Since the box has the right character on it and there's no picture of the toy on the box with the updated paint, how could employees know they were being messed with? This ultimately gets passed down to another collector who has their day ruined. So watch out for that stuff, it's not fun.

The first version this figure had its head broken but this new replacement one is much better and its head is fixed.
