The 1:1 mixing ratio was simple, and the consistency turned out really smooth. I made sure to stir slowly to keep bubbles to a minimum, and that seemed to help a lot. The resin leveled out nicely and dried clear, which was especially important for the leaf shapes—I wanted the details to show through, and they did.The cured pieces have a glossy, glass-like finish and feel solid but not overly heavy. For the wall hangings, the resin gave them a clean, polished look without distracting from the design. I placed the pieces on a drying pad after about two hours, so I didn’t test how long it would’ve taken to fully cure on its own. But when I checked back later, they were set well and looked great.I also noticed that there wasn’t a strong chemical smell while working with it, which made the process a lot more comfortable. I still worked in a ventilated space and used gloves, but it was a much better experience than some other resins I’ve tried in the past.Overall, the quality seems reliable, and the functionality was right in line with what I needed for these kinds of craft projects. I have worked with epoxy resin for years and have never really had a problem with lots of air bubbles. The first project I did with this Gold Coast epoxy resin ended up with thousands of bubbles. I went back to the online ad and found that the resin is to be cured at 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 C). Perhaps that is what caused the problem - but the 77 degrees is not mentioned on the bottle, not on the box, and not in the provided instruction manual. For the next project I used a resin heating pad and had much better results. I like the 1:1 mixing ratio and that the product has virtually no odor.

Measure and follow the directions. 45 mins is really the max time.If you stir slowly but with an even stoke you won't get a bunch of bubbles. It's very easy to work with and casts beautifully crystal clear. If you're looking for just that little that makes a resin better than the others, this is the stuff. This resin degases very well under vacuum or when it is warmed slightly. It's a simple 1:1 by volume two part resin. It has a very slight blueish tint, but that helps counter any yellowing. It cures perfectly clear.
