Works the best on carpets vs. anything else I've used for chili & wine stains.
Our house has a lot of white carpets ... we love how they make everything look more open and airy but unfortunately, mishaps occur with red colored foods/liquids. The bottom line is that I've used a lot of different cleaning products to remove stains from our light colored rugs and furniture and this works the best! It may take a couple rounds before it removes the stains completely ... but it does work like magic.Though this is probably more expensive than it should be ... it's less expensive than buying new rugs, which is why we always have a bottle on hand. The trick is, you need to use this immediately after spilling something ... and you need to work fast. (which is why I don't have before/after pictures to show) Another suggestion ... don't worry about using too much. I usually go through at least a half a bottle for even a small stain. Yes, your mind will try to use as little as possible to save money ... but don't think about that. Use a lot and get the stain out!The last mishap we had was when my wife spilled an entire bowl of chili on the expensive oriental area rug in the dining room. After wiping off the chunky part with a wet rag, the rug was covered with a huge red/orange stain and splatter marks. We slid some paper towels under the rug because this will soak through, which could damage the finish of the hardwoods beneath. Do not use this anywhere near marble or stone ... or, it will etch causing discoloration. We then saturated the stained areas and splash marks with this. After a few minutes, we dabbed the spot with a paper towel until it felt dry and the stain lightened. We repeated the process three times ... each time, the stain got lighter until it disappeared and looked like it was never even there. Seriously, completely gone on a white rug. We used almost a full bottle, but saved a $500 rug. I have also treated red wine stains countless times.I have not used this on furniture/upholstery ... only carpets. We'll never be without a bottle on hand. The bottles used to come in more of a Windex-style pump bottle ... now it's a smaller spritz bottle. We take the top off and dump it on the stains. You also used to get a lot more for half the price. However, I can't complain too much because it's got us out of a lot of jams. It does have a slight citrus smell to it, which doesn't seem to transfer into the rug for more than a few hours.

This, with others, removed red wine/tea stain!
Spilled a glass of red wine and a large cup of iced tea on my carpet when a table got bumped. At first I used my dirt devil cleaner and some carbona red wine and tea stain remover. This seemed to work well the night of, but the next day the stain (though faint) re-emerged. I bought this and another red wine remover. The following day when it arrived, I first used the this, followed by the other one. The combination of both seemed to remove the residual stain almost completely. Very much relieved!!!

Red Wine Stain
Product definitely works. Depending on amount of stain it may not clean 100% of the stain but it definitely eliminates most of it. Recently had spill on Pottery Barn slipcover chair. This product saved it.

Amazing product
This product ate and left no crumbs. I thought my ottoman was destroyed by red wine. I took a chance to purchase this product as a last-ditch effort before I threw out the ottoman. It looks like nothing ever happened. I am soooo happy.

Overpowering smell
I opened the box and didn’t even unwrap it and the smell over powering. It’s going back. I can’t comment on how works, because I can’t use it.
