The essay as well as the music speak volumes to R&B/Soul enthusiasts and if you listen to it in the dark for too long, you'll want to turn ON the NIGHTlight!

Once again soulmusic.com release another substandard CD issue. I've waited a long time for a domestic release of this great album, but my heart sank when I realised that soulmusic.com were issuing it.The re-mastering (if you could call it that) sounds flat and lifeless. The best way to describe it is like playing a cassette with the wrong Dolby NR setting on (although I'm sure original copies of the cassette would sound much better than this!). There's no top end or depth to the sound. Turn Out The Lamplight and title track Loveline have appeared on several compilation albums over the years in excellent sound (reference EMI's 2CD Tavares Anthology released in the lats 1990s for how they should sound) so there is no excuse for such a poor offering in 2015. As has been proven time and time again by this label the quality control in sound is sadly lacking.1 star for the poor sound and general lack of effort / 4 stars for the music - it's a great album that deserves a wider currency, but not like this.If only Funky Town Grooves or BBR got there first...Avoid.

Nice LP for the period.I bought this CD for tracks:"Turn Out The Night Lights" & "Don't Want To Fool You" - 2 strong mid-tempo steppers.Value for money.

ベスト・トラックは「LOVELINE」。KASHIF作、GENE PAGEのストリングスにスウェイ・ビートも顔を出す、と言う、幸せいっぱいになる事必至のナンバー。先行シングルのメロウな「TURN OUT THE NIGHTLIGHT」、これまたKASHIF作でイントロだけでノックアウトの「RIGHT ON TIME」もGOOD。
