Perfect for DIY Frownies
After watching a video on YouTube and how to make your own Frownies, I purchased this and mix it 1:1 with water and boiled for a few minutes. I applied it to a manila envelope or butcher paper and let it dry. After dry, I added some water to it when I was ready to apply. It’s sticks much faster and - in my opinion- works much better than Frownies and is reusable as well. Easy, simple, better and much less expensive! Win, win!

Wonderful for working with other scents
Whether you are making your own incense, creating magical inks, or just looking for a unique and clean smelling scent, Arabic gum is wonderful to work with. Very high quality! This product was very well sealed to keep out moisture in a reusable zip style bag which will keep your product safe from contaminants and easy to store. A+!

Turns dark if you are making watercolor binder
I am using this for watercolor binder, and while it makes a nice paint binder it also turned a dark amber color which can impact lighter paint colors. The powder is pure white out of the bag, but once it gets wet it turns darker. I ended up buying another brand of gum arabic powder to get the light golden color I need for my watercolor binder. I will keep this one too and use it for darker shades and red toned colors.

Started making my own watercolor paints!
I've been considering creating my own watercolors from scratch for a while, and then a free workshop came up this month where I can work through the process, so I ordered this bag, figuring it'll be enough to make plenty of binder for the workshop. I had all of the other ingredients on hand except for the glycerin. I've used half a cup of this powdered gum arabic and have about 1.5 cups of binder made, and still have enough to make another batch like this--which is going to last a while, considering you start with a 1:1 ratio of binder to pigment and usually only make about a tablespoon of paint at a time. I mixed up the binder two days ago, and the gum arabic dissolved beautifully when mixed into distilled water, breaking up all but small clumps, and left sit for 24 hours. Mixing in the glycerin, honey, and clove oil was a piece of cake after that. It looks and smells amazing, and should keep for a month or more in the fridge (and some artists claim 8 months or a year, but I expect to use this up before then). The workshop that spawned this order isn't until Monday morning, but I've tested the binder by mixing up three small batches of mica pigment and glitter to make fancy sparkly watercolors intended for calligraphy with a brush. It mixed well, and all 6 half-pans so far have dried without cracking. I'll definitely be ordering more when I manage to use up this batch!

Just Gag Me!
This was the first time I bought Acacia Senegal from this vendor. It will be my last. The product did not dissolve well in water and remained clumpy. There was no way I could drink this. I will go back to ordering from Heather’s Tummy Care for a quality product.

good cleanse for the body
Bad thing is that it's super clumpy in my drink, but a great cleanse for the body

An ancient ingredient with lots of uses
When I saw this product available for review via the VINE program, I was happy to do so. What surprised me is that the product page pretty much explains this ancient ingredient as something to drink for its digestive-tract benefits as a fiber supplement. While true, that's just one use of this ingredient. Google up recipes using acacia powder and you'll discover that there are many great ways to use this in your cooking and baking. I'm the chief cook in our family and have been familiar with the uses of acacia powder so I'm giving this conveniently zip-sealing bag 5 stars. It's a good price and a good way to get this product to store in my baking shelf in the pantry. For example, I've got a bread recipe that combines acacia powder with tapioca starch and makes the bread come out with a texture that we like for sandwich bread. I've also got a pudding recipe that uses it as an emulsifier Do your own research and you may find this is an ingredient you'd enjoy experimenting with yourself.
