My son used part of this kit for a science fair project on telecommunications. The instructions for the radio were not sufficient to detect a signal (but that is basically stated in the instruction booklet), but the morse code contraption worked well. At 10 years old my son was able to do it all by himself. Using the information from this kit and some additional research he seemed to acquire a good grasp of the material.
