Great set of shelves for my growing collection of Tamiya Paints. If you can build a Tamiya model you will be able to build this with the included diagram instructions. It feels wobbly when first put together but once glued up is very solid. The only issue I had was the 2 tabs on the bottom 4 shelves were very slightly too large for the 2 slots in the back pieces. This was easily fixed with a file in about 60 seconds so that the tabs would go through the slots. Would I buy again? Certainly! It's well designed and holds up to 40 Tamiya paint pots. I also quite enjoyed the build process too.

I was skeptical at first that these would fit Citadel 18m paints despite the picture, but I am pleasantly surprised. You can easily fit 11 pots per row, totalling 44 paints on the rack. You can squeeze army painter bottles on too, but the top of the bottles sit behind the shelf above so you need to be careful when removing them. You'd easily fit 50 army painter bottles on though.

This arrives flat packed in a decent, unbranded box. It looks to have been laser cut from decent sheets of a thin, MDF material. It is very light when in it's constituent parts, but once assembled it is actually quite sturdy and most suitable for its intended purpose. The parts all fit together perfectly and easily - the shelves are quite tight, but once pressed home they are quite secure. The sides and rear hanger support are a bit more loose fitting. I used hot glue to secure the joints - see photo's (excuse the stringy bits, it's messy stuff) and this has done the trick. I got this for mounting on the rear pegboard of my painting and work station. The holes don't match up, nor did I expect them to but I used 2x self tapping screws set at 327mm. The rack hangs nicely from these. It accepts a variety of paint jars and bottles and makes finding said bottles really easy. I really would love to give this 5 stars and in a lot of respects it does deserve it. However, The fit could have done with being a bit tighter and that would probably negate the need for glue. I would have liked a simple, paper template for the screw locations as trying to manoeuvre a tape measure on the back wall of my workstation and hit 327mm wasn't easy. Other than that, it's a really handy, good looking and great value rack that has restored a bit of order to my hobbies.

Stop searching and buy this! I have a large collection of Vallejo and similar sized paints and the usual potions associated with modelling. I had bought the largest available laser cut storage rack on the market which I had filled and my paint collection eventually spilled over into a tub. This made finding a particular colour a time wasting and frustrating exercise. I bought one of these and I was so impressed that I bought two more! These racks are very cleverly engineered, assembly is ridiculously easy and the final piece, the wall bracket, locks it all together into one solid unit. My top tips are to paint the individual parts before assembly as this will make the parts fit snug. Assemble it as per the excellent instructions, running white glue around each joint. Use the mounting plate, with a spirit level to ensure it is level and mark / drill pilot for the screws. The photo shows one of the three units in place above my work bench, this is the ready-rack for the paints which I use on the project and the other two rack hold the rest of my paint collection.

Dead easy to assemble, and sturdy once the suggested wood glue is applied. Wasn't a fan of the colour so chucked some black paint on it. There appears to be a debate about being able to fit Vallejo paints, as you can see by the pic they fit fine. Very happy with it and will need to get another one very shortly.

Ideal for storing Vallejo paint pots, but not larger 59ml pots (although these could be stored on top row). 56 18ml can to stored. Wall mountable possible with hanging on 2 wall screws (not included). Need pvc glue to assemble. Good value.

If you are a model builder, the shelves are easy to put together but they definitely require glue for structural strength. They are useful for holding those paints that have the identifying number and colour on the side, such as Tamiya, Mr Hobby, Mr Color, Vallejo and so on. As can be seen from the pictures, they hold a decent number of pots and have a low footprint on the bench. The rear cross member also has holes for the shelves to be wall mounted to save even more bench space. They have also freed up a lot of drawer space and it is now much easier to find the right pot as a result.

The rack was easy to assemble and is pretty stable, even if there's no glue used! Vallejo Paints and others of similar size found in hobby stores all fit in the bottom three racks, while the larger bottles work great up top. The angles are steep enough that there is no danger of paints tipping forward, ESPECIALLY since the rack has a plate on the back which -- if you want to -- you can use to bolt the rack to the wall. 6 stars, no notes!
