the metallic parts are thin and break easily, I ended up using washers (that I had laying around the house) around the two screws to keep them from going though the metal plate in the top part. bottom drain part worked fine.

Clawfoot Tub Retrofit
Works great on an antique clawfoot tub. It's not spring-loaded like other pop-up tub drains I've seen; simply turn the plug a bit to hold the "up" position. Fantastic price, lower than the local stores.
