The media could not be loaded.  This is the greatest invention yet that I have seen for knife storage. One of the things I have always disliked about knife blocks was putting the knives in the right slot and also removing the one I wanted the first time. With this new knife block those issues as solved. The block itself is pretty heavy, but you would not know it when you turn it around. The block moves smoothly and effortlessly. I was pretty impressed with how strong the magnets are and holding each knife is not a problem for this block, yet removing the knife is not a struggle. I can also place two smaller knives together as you can see from my video. The only disappointment that I had was that I could not seem to hang a scissors. The top of the block has slots for eight steak knives and should fit just about any steak knife. The block itself is made from bamboo and is smooth as silk. It is pretty clear that this knife block was made with care. The fact that you can store any knife you choose on this block makes this such a great addition to your kitchen and looks fabulous as well. I am certainly impressed at the ease in which I can choose the correct knife for the job with just a slight glance and a quick turn. I guess there are other magnetic knife holders available, but this one is so sleek and takes up hardy any room on my counter. I love the way it looks and I will never go back to a regular knife block again. I did receive a discount on this item for an honest and unbiased review and I am certainly grateful for that opportunity.

Very nice rotating knife block. I had a set of eight steak knives sitting in a drawer taking up valuable drawer space. These fit perfectly in the center of the knife block. The outside faces hold the knives very securely. I was surprised at how well this actually held some of my larger 8" chef's knives. The block is laminated bamboo, well finished and rotates well on the base.One negative is if you have a small amount of counter top space, this might not be the best option. A possible future negative is the rotating base. Anytime you have moving parts you could have an issue there. This should not be an issue. One issue I almost had was there was almost not enough room between my counter top and the bottom of my cabinets. With the knives, primarily at issue is the chef's knifes, on the block, there was almost not enough room to clear the cabinet. Fortunately it did or I would have had to return this.I am very happy with this block and the wife, who isn't too keen on the loss of counter top space, likes the block as well.

This knife dock is great! What I like about it the most is the magnetic hold around the outside of it--good design and knives stay in place securely. You can see exactly which knife you are taking … no more pulling in and out of the old-fashioned knife blocks. Also, it holds more than my old knife block. Eight steak knives and then about 8 or 9 other knives around the outside. The bamboo color is beautiful! Shockingly poor, seriously does not do what is suggested on the tin...and unsafe as it does not stay in place when removing a knife!
