seam ripped after a few months
i’ve owned too many pairs of chef works pants over the years to count. always the basic ones with the elastic waist, which i’ve always gotten at least 2 years of constant wear out of before they start to rip. but i always felt like i got my moneys worth. but not these pants. my expectations were high because they are more expensive, are made with material that feels more soft, and appear a bit nicer. but after having them for only 4 months and not even wearing them more than 2-3 times a month (because i finally have enough black work pants in my rotation that i no longer have to rewear the same pants over and over, thankfully), i heard a ripping sound as i was squatting down at work. the seam at my backside ripped and although it did not create a large hole, i had to be very careful and do my best to move around as little as possible to get through the rest of the day, which is not easy in a busy kitchen. i really regret springing for these “nicer” chef works pants. waste of money.

Great women's chef pants!
I love these pants! I've ordered black, gray, and pinstripe. Even though all the colors say they're made of the same materials, the black are the most comfy and seem to have more of a soft cotton feel. The other two colors don't seem to stretch as well even though I love the look.Pros:-Feels like you're wearing yoga pants on the line.-Breathable.-Elastic waist band and tie makes them great for girls like me who lose and gain weight throughout the year and wants their pants to last.-The bootcut fit makes them look feminine unlike the usual men's chef "parachute" pants on women without being tight or uncomfortable to work in.-Durable for the most part.Cons:-Pockets are cut very low and are only a couple inches deep and things can fall out pretty easily.-Not quite true to size, I normally wear size 20-22, which I'm used to being a 2X, I wear a 3X in these pants. They do fit loosely without falling off my waist, which is what I wanted. (I don't want to wear them as tight as actual yoga pants)-Seams rip easily. I own five pairs and two of them have ripped on the seams, one on the side of the pocket, one on the side seam on my thigh.-A little long, but I cuff them on the seam and they're perfect (I'm 5'4).All-in-all the comfort and look outweighs the few flaws and I highly recommend the black pants for comfort!

love the wide waist band
I love the wide waistband. They are comfortable and long enough for me, I am 5'8". I still have yet to find a pair of "chef" pants that stay up when I kneel down or bend over. Even with these pants, I am adjusting them frequently.Be careful when you tighten the draw string. The string itself has no slip to it, and even just a simple half knot was so tight, that when I went to the restroom, it took forever to loosen it! So I now just tie them with a slip knot.I would like for the pockets to be a bit deeper, or to have cargo pockets. My phone sticks out of the pockets on these pants.

Better than other compared chef pants
I love these pants. They are very comfortable and I have now bought several of them. The only problem I have with them is the length. They are long to where i step on the hem unless I tuck the edges into my shoes. I plan on getting them hemmed because they are better than other chef pants I have tried. I especially love the waist, I have them high on my waist and it feels like sweatpants. The only thing I would change is if they could cinch at the ankle.

Too short
These pants are made of quality comfortable material, but at 5’6” they are a little too short for my liking and just a tiny bit snug around the waist. The waist band is really comfortable and stretchy though, so I did not return. Drawstrings were oddly long, had to trim.

Extremely comfy, stitching a bit weak. Needs to be reinforced.
I love these pants. They are extremely comfortable. I wear them daily and have been for a few years now. The only problem is that the stitching is a bit weak. The left pocket always ends up with a hole. This most recent pair I bought from Amazon instead of the Chef works website. I have a couple holes from the stitching giving out. I patch them up myself, but it is very annoying. Also, being 5'7", I also hem them, but I only have to roll the hem over itself once and I'm good to go.

Split in front seam
As I chef I’m constantly looking for comfortable work pants. I got these in August 2018 and they were a bit too long but the fabric is super comfy. It seemed to shrink a little and I didn’t have to hem my pants after a few washes. I’m 5’ 4” at 140lbs and I ordered a size small. Last month I squat down to get some plates and it split right in the front seam. There’s also a split on my inner thigh. So, maybe I won’t be getting these anymore. The band also folds over quite often and I’m always adjusting it.

Great food service pants
Good fit for being on your feet in food service. I'm 5'6" 140lbs and a small fit perfect. Run a little bit long but everyone is different. Waist band is thick but holds pants up when you are on your feet the whole shift. Washed and dried and comes out fine, no ironing needed.

Not designed well - uncomfortable fit
I ordered a small, the waist has a wide elastic band that fits tight and feels uncomfortable, and waist down they fit right - a medium would have been to big and baggy below the waist.

Comfy Pants Indeed!
I am short so I did have to hem these pants. They are nice and soft, have big pockets. If you have pets, it will stick to these pants. Some cons:- The drawstring is really big and since its on the outside... it just dangles there. I tuck mine in but as it does not really stretch that far, because the band is really thick, the string should be shortened.-As mentioned above, the waist band is fairly thick which isnt a bad thing for some but I find it uncomfortable unless I pull up my pants as far as I can go. Lots of ripping risks when you work in a kitchen and need to bend frequently!
