Arrived fast with no damage, and at a better price than Home Depot.20 min works good for fixing cracks and nail pops before painting. Hardens fast enough to sand and paint the same day, but with enough working time that I can do several spots before it starts to set up.Keep the big bag dry and it will last for years of small home repairs. Just mix what you need when you need it. That’s more economical in the long run than buying pre-mixed that goes bad after a few months, or small bags of powder that cost almost as much and barely have enough for one room.

Good stuff and quite and easy sanding

My father finished drywall for a living. I helped him on summer break from school. I'm not as fast as my Dad but I can make it look just as good. When Dad retired, he left me his tools. I just bought a house that needs some drywall repairs. It's a long way to Lowe's so I ordered this product. I didn't think it was a problem because back when Dad was working the mud came in sacks much like this stuff. Dad would mix up a couple 5 gallon buckets full and put a little water on top before he left the job in the evening so the next morning he would have mud to get the job started and if the mud starting getting too stiff all you had to do was add a little water to thin it out. This stuff is different. It goes on nicely but it begins to harden in your mud pan very quickly and you can't thin it out. You only have about 5 minutes working time before it is too stiff to use. You have to have the seam taped and ready to go because if you have to stop and do some sanding or any other prep work the stuff will set up on you and you have to dig it out of the pan. I'm able to use it knowing how much time I have but I much prefer the premixed buckets.

Arrived in box but bag was broken and lost some. Good product, but bag was torn open.
