Women's Waltz Slipper

I have been wearing these slippers for years, and are the only slippers I can wear that are comfortable enough to wear all day, if I want. These slippers last long also. My normal size in shoes is 8M, sometime 8.5M depending on the shoe, but when buying these slippers, I always buy a size larger, and wide, not medium width. I allow for socks.I have noticed that the stretch section on top is tighter than usual, but I have arthritis in the left foot (top), so that maybe the problem, since the right shoe fits fine. This is the 2nd pr. I purchased this month, because I can't find them in this size anywhere anymore, whether the company is going out of business, don't know?? If they do, I don't know what slippers I could wear, I have been thru many expensive brands, and are not as comfortable as the Foamtreads, and I just can't wear them. Also, this is the only style I can wear, the rest are cut a lot smaller, and bands across the top of foot are tight. I even tried the velcro tops, and they were tight also. So, for now I have happy feet!!

These are the second pair of Foamtreads I've purchased. I'm a 6 1/2, and a size seven in these slippers is comfortably roomy, but they stay on fine. I also got some drugstore orthotics for them, and they are perfect. These are the best house shoes--they look neat, are super comfortable, and have a safe sole so I won't slip when going down the stairs. Sloppy slippers are unsafe and tacky-- these are not those! The velvet like fabric is pretty, as is the textured inset band on the top of the slipper.

Everything is great except the length. I wear a 9-1/2 N shoe and ordered a 9-1/2 M slippers. Could have used them about 1/2 inch longer. Didn't order 10's because I thought they'd be too wide. The slippers are made beautifully and are very comfortable (except my toes touch the front.) I like the heavy rubber soles because you can wear them outside in a pinch. Also provides good support.

I love the support the thick foam sole provides, but found the “wide width” way too tight. It’s really just a standard width. (C/D used to be a standard width and D/E was a wide width... they’re just calling the standard width “wide.”) Also, that piece in the center is not soft or flexible. It’s a hard piece of rubber, and after sewing it into the slipper, makes the seam incredibly thick, hard, terribly uncomfortable, and greatly reduces the amount of room for your foot. A thin elastic piece of fabric would have made this slipper a lot more flexible and comfortable. After cutting that rubber piece out, it became wearable, but still a bit too tight. I’m hoping the fabric stretches over time and that these slippers will one day be comfortable.

The panel across the instep is very stiff and the edge is sharp like a razor! I cannot get my feet into these slippers as the edge of the panel is so sharp. They are unwearable. I am very disappointed as the previous pair of slippers were so comfortable and I am still wearing them. What to do?

I would give the slippers 5 stars (because the pair I bought myself fit beautifully, are comfy and supportive, have great soles and are goodlooking on top of all that). However, one heel of this pair disintegrated and, since it's hollow, the chunk cannot be glued back in or otherwise repaired.Later comment: My rating of the slippers has been decreased by a star. As in these slippers which were my gift to someone, one heel of my own pair has delaminated, just from padding around the house. Foamtreads should improve the density of the sole materials. I will avoid this brand in the future - too bad, because the slippers fit well.

STILL WEAR THESE A YEAR LATER! LOVE THEM FOR AROUND THE HOUSE AND REALLY WORKS FOR MY FIBRO PAIN. I AM 37 YRS OLF AND I REALLY NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD NEED HOUSE SHOES LIKE THESE BUT MAN I AM SO THANKFUL FOR THESE! GIVE THEM TIME TO WEAR THEM IN BECAUSE THE MORE YOU WEAR THEM THE BETTER THEY FORM TO YOUR FEET AND FIT MORE COMFORTABLY. AT FIRST I WASNT THRILLED BECAUSE I TEND TO HAVE A LITTLE MORE WIDER FOOT THAN MOST BUT NOT ON THE WIDE SIDE OF NEEDING "WIDE" SHOES.... BUT THESE DO SEEM TO BE A LITTLE MORE NARROW. ONCE I BROKE THEM IN I NEVER NOTICED IT AGAIN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE FOR ANY AGE ESPECIALLY FOR WEARING ON HARD FLOORS AND IF YOU HAVE BACK OR ANY MEDICAL PROBLEMS.

I bought these slippers for my mom. She has been wearing Foamtread slippers for years and they're the only ones that she feels really comfortable in (she's 87 so she's a bit set in her ways. They have gotten a little pricey over the years and these were the best price I had found so I was worried that they may be second hand or irregular. They fit like a glove and were made perfectly! They're nice enough that my mom can wear them out to a Dr's appt if she doesn't feel like fighting with shoes or boots (she probably won't but hey, you never know!) I would definitely recommend and am anxious for her to enjoy the second pair that I ordered!
