Must have tool! Save yourself, cuts from the machete safe, and you can stick a straw in there. Avoid drinking plastic, micro plastics are everywhere eat natural coconut do not buy coconut water from the shelf has additives and plastic in it.

Once you find the "soft spot" of a shaven coconut, it becomes quite easy to use this tool. No more spilling of the precious coconut water! I use a straw brush to ensure it is properly cleaned after every use. Wonderful little, useful tool.

It’s been a little over two years since I purchased this opener and it continues to work like a champ. If you’re looking for a simple tool that will let you quickly and relatively safely extract the water from a coconut, this is a great option. Note that a little effort is required to use it effectively, but I think most people should be able to make it work without excessive strain. Great 2nd one bought

The tool does the job of opening young coconuts, but it’s not as easy as advertised. It takes some practice and a bit of force to get a clean opening. The stainless steel feels durable, but the handle could be more comfortable for frequent use. Overall, it’s useful once you get the hang of it, but don’t expect a perfectly effortless experience.

I open a lot of coconuts at the juicery I manage and this is the best hand held tool we have ever used! It's perfect for fresh coconuts!!! If I could only take on thing to an island, this would be it!

So I loved this tool when I got it. I’ve had it maybe 6 weeks? Used it quite a bit but it has now disintegrated, the handle has broken from the tool part and it no longer works, I had to throw it out.

Do the job nicely no more chopping coconut but make sure coconut not too hard.

How to use on skinned young coconut found in grocery stores stab the top of the coconut and use a hammer to puncture the inner shell. Then take it out and redo it on the flip side (same side as before just turn the blade) Now take the blade out and pour into a cup. You should then see the coconut milk. Then use a hammer on the side to crack open and eat the flesh!

Was hard to use, had to return. Better buying a different tool.
