Great, Reliable Product to Help You Keep Track of What is Important To YOU!!!
I bought this product and one other to track my child who is visiting her mother who is currently in Texas for the holidays. We are currently in a custody case for our child who currently lives with me (the mother lives in Mexico). In an effort to insure that my child does not leave the country but still has the opportunity to see her mother, I am using this product to track my child's whereabouts using GPS location, GeoFencing, and email alerts for various situations. I placed this product in a pocket in her backpack, another similar product in the lining of her suitcase, and further a third (software) on her phone. I figured between the three at a minimum one would make it through any attempted abduction and give me ample opportunity to alert the authorities at the border. So first, the purchase, delivery and setup of the GL300W was very easy. I did the setup online and the purchasing of the plan was smooth. The device activated within about 10 min and was showing location in my home. I also setup the competing device and the cell phone at the same time. Similar experiences with those as well. I needed to run a trial prior to my child leaving for Christmas break with the other parent. So, I setup a geofence around my home and around the school property and set the distance of the fence at 0.1 mile. I put the unit in the school backpack. I setup the alerts that I wanted to receive in email for the events I needed. The trial lasted about 8 days. I was pleasantly surprised that I knew when my daughter left home and arrived at school in addition to seeing the exact route that was taken to school and then back home in the afternoon. This allowed me to verify on a daily basis that my daughter was where she was supposed to be when she was supposed to be there. I had a problem with the competing product at the beginning in that when my daughter returned home from school it was showing that it was still at school. This product (GL300W) worked flawlessly and did not have this glitch. The 8 day trial was successful. My child left for Christmas and the unit tracked perfectly from our home to the airport. It lost connection during the flight due to no cell service at altitude, but picked up signal again when it landed in Texas. It has now been a full two weeks and it has tracked without fail with approximately 30% battery life remaining. My daughter is due back tomorrow so I will see how it tracks back home from Texas. I emailed customer service about the ability to track into Mexico and was assured that the product will work internationally. Customer service has been awesome so far and very responsive getting back with me within a few hours. Their pricing is very reasonable for what I was looking for, there is no long term contract required, and I cannot put a cost on the safety of my child and my peace of mind relative to that goal. The product does what it says that it will do and does it well from what I see so far. I was skeptical initially, but those doubts have passed. This product is reliable. All transactions and tracking is done via a web browser. If I had one recommendation for improvement it would be to have a user friendly app for Android or IOS. I am fairly computer literate so I was able to figure out what I did not understand. There are also videos on Youtube which can help you out with questions.

You get what you pay for, so pay for the 300W with AMERILOC and you won't be sorry
Pros up front, Cons at the bottom. The 300w with AMERILOC is a fantastic bit of hardware. I work in private security and was already familiar with the AMERILOC systems so it wasn't super difficult for me to pull the trigger on some personal hardware, but I wasn't expecting private offerings to last as long or be as accurate as they've proven to be. Keeping it set to update location every 5 minutes has the battery lasting for almost a month, and even kicking it down to every 30 seconds lets it run for over a week before needing a 6 hour charge. My preferred settings are to set up for 5 minute updates during the day and 20-30 second updates during the night, with movement notifications on and tight geofences setat all times. You have a full suite of notifications preferences, past location viewing/export settings, static and route-based geofences, location update intervals from 10 seconds to 10 minutes, and a surprisingly well flushed out wired-in power adapter market. It also seems to pe pretty dang tough. I run one in a buzzy stunt motorcycle that gets suplexed into the pavement hard enough to bend steel regularly, and I haven't had a single issue with the 300w hardware or function. Also those twin hurricanes gave it a good wet spritz and I've seen no issues after drying it off. Says something for reliability but I definitely don't recommend letting it get wet, its not intentionally built to be water resistant. That problem is solved easily enough with a ziploc bag though. Pricing seems fair. $20/mo per device added to your account, but they're always running the "buy your first month and get 2 extra months free" promo so it gets you started strong. Check with your insurance, most offer $10-20 off your bill per month if you have a vehicle "secured with gps" so in many cases the device pays for itself. There are only 3 big cons First is the fact that not only is there no app but the website is a bit clunky on mobile. It is totally usable, and 100% awesome on pc or tablet, but clunky none the less. They have recently improved this with a setting that re-organizes the web page to be more phone-friendly too. Second (and a bit irrelevant) is that this device is pretty chunky to accommodate that battery. Excellent for vehicles (with some creativity even small vehicles like pit-bikes) but you're not going to be able to have this in a purse or pocket without noticing. Now if you have a huge purse or backpack and are completely oblivious then I can't say for sure what extra weight you will or won't notice. Third and last is that there are very limited case options. Its pretty much leave it bare or put it in one of those big magnetic super-tough pelican box looking cases. I have a 3D printer so I just printed out a quick thin protective case and added a shock absorbing layer later as well after a few harsh crashes just to be sure it didn't get too banged up over time. For anyone without access to a 3d printer id say just use 3 large rubber bands (2 wrapped around the body horizontally and one length-wise) and it'll be protected from 90% of what you throw at it. But as far as buyable offerings? There's really none. Overall solid 8.5/10 purchase and I plan to buy 2 more as soon as I can. Will update the review if anything changes.

GL300W is a Great! product and Americaloc provides outstanding support.
JTF 9-14-2018 GL300W review – I gave the GL300W Mini Portable Real Time GPS Tracker by Queclink and Americaloc/Orbiflex Inc company five stars, but I would have given them six if it would have been available. Permit me to share a little about my research and decision to purchase and use this product. As a computer repair tech of 30 years for a large corporation the office manager where my office is leased, asked if I would be the virtual backup for her kayak team on the annual MR340 kayak race. The race is held once each year in July starting in Kansas City 340 miles across the Missouri river to St Charles, Lewis and Clark Museum finish line. My job was all the computer tech stuff and most of all to know where the kayak was every mile of the four day race. After I completed my research I selected the GL300W to provide the tracking. I narrowed my research to three products in which I sent each company an email question. One took three days to reply, one didn’t reply at all and Americaloc replied within 30 minutes. I sent a second request to Americaloc with a full page of about fourteen questions. I received a reply within one hour. Next I looked at available resources. 13 Page user manual in pdf form. 22 Page Americaloc GPS Tracking User Guide in pdf form. Very nicely put together and user friendly. If you go to YouTube video and search on Americaloc you will see a round circle with Americaloc in the middle which has 18 videos connected to it. When you register with Americaloc you will also have access to documentation as well on the Americaloc website. I ordered my GL300W from Amazon Prime (Americaloc/Orbiflex Inc) and received in two days. After giving a full charge I tested in Kayak for three weeks before the MR340 race. I needed to balance battery life for four days and how often I wanted it to report in the Kayak Boat location. The GL300W activation was user friendly and Americaloc gave me two free months after paying $25.00 for the first month. After testing I finally decided on five minutes as my report in time. As insurance for battery life I purchased a 10” water proof tablet bag from Academy Sports $14.00 and cut a brown 1/8 think board to fit inside water proof bag. I mounted GL300W and flat external battery size of smart phone to the board and positioned package LEDs up facing sky inside front of Kayak Boat. The GL300W ended the four day race with 82% battery life remaining. The external battery kept the GL300W fully charged for the four days. The top LED on the GL300W pulsing meant it was communicating with the global satellites. The center LED pulsing or solid showed GL300W was charging or fully charged. The bottom LED pulsing meant the GL300W was searching for a cell phone tower to send satellite reading to Americaloc. I could use the Americaloc smart phone app when I was away from home but I preferred being logged into my account with Americaloc from my laptop. The satellite info was updated to me once every five minutes and using Google Earth I could see where the Kayak Boat was every mile of the 340 mile race. The stats remained for seven days on Americaloc. I was able to go back and create a document that showed where the boat was every hour on the river for all four days. The document will be used for ref for the future 2019 race. Summary: The GL300W worked as designed without a problem for the four day race. When you purchase this product do your own research. Read and understand all documents I listed above. Watch all the YouTube videos. Any questions email them to Americaloc.

Great Performance - not so good web interface
I purchased two different GPS's to compare, this one and Tracki. I ended up keeping the AmericaLOC because of its performance but I really wanted to like the Tracki because of the more modern web and app interfaces. Just its performance wasn't up to par compared to AmericaLOC. I used both for a month before I decided to keep AmericaLOC. My Use - I put the tracker in my son's book bag to see when his bus leaves/arrives at school. And when he is returning from school so I can time the bus drop off. Several times this year our bus has been 10 - 20 min early, and 15 - 20 late. PROs - Pricing was cheaper - I could get 10 second updates - Very accurate and would update fairly quick once the GPS started moving (Tracki was taking 20 min at times to initially update). - size was comparable to Tracki with extended battery pack and AmericaLOC picture with the coins accurately gives a size estimate. - Battery life is great. I get 2 to 3 weeks with my use, updates set at 10 seconds. - GPS seems to be solid, well made. It doesn't feel like it will fall apart. - Unlimited texts. I have it set up to receive a text when my son's bus leaves the school, and another when he enters our subdivision. Tracki you only get 30 texts per month unless you pay for more. CONs - The cell app and web interface seem like it was developed in the 1990's. I am not sure who uses boarders around their icons anymore, but they do. SUMMARY If you can get past the ugliness of the web interface and phone app, this GPS seems to be perfect for what I use it for.

Works exactly as it should when you set it up correctly.
This GPS tracker works perfectly as long as you set it up correctly. Here are some tips that I learned along the way: 1) Location. I bought this to track my wife's car location. The GPS comes with general instructions for placement but you have to make it work. Most newer model cars have a shroud under most of the undercarriage. I placed the GPS in a magnetic case and put it under the shroud along the wheel well. Didn't work. I finally moved it to the bumper on the metal brace that actually extends further than the trunk. Worked great after that. 2) Battery life. The GPS will shut off after 5 minutes of no motion then kick back on when motion is detected. You regulate the battery life by setting how often the GPS "pings" its location. I used the app as well as the website to view the tracking. They both are very simplistic but still easy to use. You will not see the location as you would on say a Garmin or Google Maps in a constant location. If you set it to ping every 5 seconds your battery will day in a matter of days. All you should really be concerned about is when it starts and where it ends. So I set mine to 90 seconds and got a little over 2 weeks on the battery before I had to recharge it. 3) Alerts. There are a variety of alerts you can set in the software. I set the notifications to email me when the device detected movement and then an alert for non-movement. Then I would know when to get on the app and see where the GPS was and where it ended up. Totally worth the money.

Don’t waist money on other products! This is the best one on the market!
Great product! I have been looking for a GPS tracker of some sort for awhile now and was hoping to find something that worked as well as the ones you see private investigator use. I recently hired a private investigator for my divorce and he used a GPS tracking devise to track my ex and I was hoping to find something that worked as good as the one he used. I took a chance and ordered the GL300W by Ameriloc and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up and how great it works. I’d say it actually works better than the one the P. Investigator used. The tracking system can be used on a computer or a phone app that works with I phone or android. The mapping system is similar to google earth and is very precise. It has different options you can purchase for using and doesn’t require an annual contract or anything ridiculous. I purchased a four month package and it gave me three month free for $90. You can get packages that are less or more expensive. The battery life seems to be adequate. I haven’t had any problems with the battery cutting out. I also ordered the case which you can put in and attach under a car. It’s got two really strong magnets which will attach easily to something metal under a vehicle and also keeps it dry and protected from the weather. I was so impressed with the GL300W I ordered a second one. Definitely recommend!!

Americaloc's services are beyond my most optimistic expectations.
My crew and I look for shipwrecks offshore with an underwater drone camera attached to a 328 foot tether. We have some amazing photos of shipwreck debris lying on the bottom, but we only know within a 328 foot radius circle the location of what I've videoed. My drone company sells a GPS tracker attachment that imprints on the video the GPS location, date, , hour, minute, and second where the videos were taken - but for a $17,000 fee! - and that does not draw a map of where the drone was. I contacted Americaloc, and their most helpful reps gave me several coaching sessions about what GPS tracker to get, how to use it, and how to retrieve and conserve the data gathered. I was advised to get Ameriloc's $59 tracker. $59! I did so, put it in a waterproof sleeve, attached that to the top of a Suremarker buoy, tied that buoy to the drone, put the drone in the water trailed by the buoy, and went of searching. My crew and I discovered amazing stuff underwater and were able to record within 25 feet where each picture was taken!!! All thanks to Americaloc. We were then beset by three hurricanes and did not get to search again for a good while. I went back on the Americaloc app to see where we had searched but forgot how to use it. I called Americaloc for more coaching. The representative could not have been more patient and helpful with me. She provided the best customer service I have ever had and soon found the exact map of everywhere our drone had been in 5 second intervals timestamped with date, hour, minute, and second which we were able to correlate perfectly with the date, hour, minute, and second the drone camera records digitally on the images. I simply cannot say enough good things about Americaloc but will attempt to do so when our shipwreck find becomes a national news story. Kudos to you, Americaloc.

Saved me THOUSANDS already
Extremely happy with this little GPS. It was fully charged and ready to go within a few hours of being plugged in the first time. The website and app is very easy to navigate and obtain loads of interesting details about the movement, speed, battery level, etc. for any interval of time you choose. I have worked for years in the telecommunications industry; working with service providers and cell tower construction companies. So when choosing a GPS unit to purchase I wasn't shooting from the hip. This device has actually surpassed my expectations. Very reliable positioning. Because of cell tower triangulation margins of error no one can ever expect 100% perfection from any of these types of devices. Because this device uses 3G networks of 2 major telecommunications carriers as opposed to other units on Amazon that operate on the (much slower and NEVER maintained) 2G network of their 1 carrier, you're getting a level of reliability from this device that puts other products to shame. I had a few questions about some reports I ran of the data and needed AMERICALOC support. They weren't incredibly fast getting back to me but very polite and helpful nonetheless. The case I ordered for it was perfect: Optimus Twin Magnet GPS Tracker Case
