Serta Heated Blanket King,Fast Heating Plush Electric Blanket Charcoal Grey

I can’t recommend this blanket enough. Besides being one of the softest things I’ve ever owned it works great! I have used Sunbeam electric blankets for years, but when it came time to replace my blanket I couldn’t find one so I decided to try this one. I’m so glad I did! 1st it is soft as I said earlier. 2nd it is large enough to cover the whole bed without coming out from underneath the blanket at night because your partner had hogged the whole thing. 3rd it does keep you warm.

If you are the kind of person who wants the electric blanket to remind you of having a lovely, soothing, relaxing, hot bath, this is the blanket for you! I have purchased many electric blankets over the years. My favorite electric blanket was a Sunbeam one my mother had owned (I think she purchased it somewhere between the 70s and 1990). It got very hot at the highest level, and I *love* when electric blankets get that hot! Sadly, I haven't been able to find electric blankets to reach that hot...until now! The first thing I did when I got this blanket was to turn it on and set the heat to 10. It's barely autumn currently - the 10 heat setting was far too warm for me, which (ironically) is why this blanket is getting a 5 star rating. Setting 4 or 5 is the setting I find most comfortable. This is the first electric heated product I have had (aside from ye olde Sunbeam blanket) where I did not need to crank up the warmth to '10' (or another highest maximum setting) while still wishing I could be warmer. I purchased this blanket to replace an electric mattress pad that had finally worn out (it stopped giving off as much heat as I would like to sleep with at night). I purchased the queen sized blanket which does come with two controllers (both need to be plugged into the blanket separately, and plugged into two separate outlets). In hindsight, since I am the only one using this blanket, I should have gone with the full since it only has one controller, but given how amazing this blanket has worked out for me, no regrets whatsoever.

These blankets are super-soft, the proportions are good so they fit our beds well, and they are a good value for the money. The auto-shut off is a really nice feature, and the temp controls are easy to use and very user-friendly. I have purchased one king size and one queen, and both of them are really nice.

Just bought this blanket as our last heater blanket conked out. It’s nice & light, very soft. But the controller is a pain. My daughter complained about this issue with a heater blanket she bought recently & I get it now. You turn the blanket on & set it to the level of heat you want. My husband usually goes to bed before me so when I go to bed the light on the controller on my side is off. The heater is on but you can’t tell. I have to turn the flashlight on my phone on to see the stupid thing so I can turn it off. If the blanket is on the light should be on…..period! Turn the blanket off….the light goes off. I get all of the saving energy, saving the planet stuff - I’m all for it - but I don’t think a dinky little light on the controller for this blanket is going change the world. Stupid & annoying.

I’m extremely disappointed in this heated blanket. I’ve owned several electric blankets before, but this year I wanted to treat myself to something more luxurious. After doing a lot of research, I kept hearing about how luxuriously soft this Serta blanket was. I’ll admit it is very soft to the touch, but that is about the only positive thing I can say. The blanket is much thinner than I expected and it’s only plush on one side. You can easily see and feel the stitching along the edges, which gives it a cheap and unfinished feel. Even worse, the heating is very uneven. I set it to level 10 and waited about 40 minutes. The top portion became warm, but the area down by my feet stayed cold. The most surprising part is that both sides of the blanket have about 12 inches with no heating elements at all. For a brand like Serta, I expected much better quality and design. This does not feel like a premium product and I truly regret spending extra for what turned out to be a disappointing purchase. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a high end or evenly heated blanket.

I bought this one to replace an older version of the same blanket that stopped working after several years. After using this blanket I'm suspicious that several of the reviews that appear here are NOT for this particular product. The ones that complain about it having a short controller cord are the most suspect. This blanket has 11ft controller cords-the longest and most useful that I've seen on the market. I know because I purchased and returned another popular brand because of short control cords. Luckily I found this blanket. These are the only ones that actually make sense and are long enough to place on a nightstand. As far as the heat goes, the blanket is fantastic. I preheat my bed on level 3 (of 10 heat levels) and turn it down to 1 for sleeping and it is plenty warm. Even without the heat this is a warm, light weight blanket. I haven't been cold at night since and I live in a cold northern climate. Terrific purchase!

Purchased this heating blanket three and a half years ago...loved the feel of it and setting options. Last week when I plugged it in, it was not working with a flashing 'F'. I went to the support site, registered my product and submitted a claim. All that was necessary was a screenshot of my Amazon receipt and a few photos of the blanket. Customer service walked me through a few trouble shooting steps (did not fix the problem.) Then they asked me to confirm my current shipping address & sent me a new one. Received the new blanket about a week after first submitting my claim. Very impressed with their customer service...will be sticking with this brand the next time I make a similar purchase.

I like the blanket itself -- the wires are not too obtrusive and the fabric is very soft. BUT the cord is barely long enough to reach from the end of the bed where it plugs into the blanket, and the head of the bed where you should be able to access the control. That is even with running the cord under the mattress. Also, you have to reset the controls every single night when you turn it on. So you have to set the heat level and the auto off shut off time. I'm considering returning it, but it is difficult to find an electric blanket with good reviews that doesn't have some major flaw. A mediocre purchase at best.
