Being gluten free is getting easier by the day - especially with solid companies like King Arthur coming up with mixes like this one. Not only gluten free, but higher protein which is hard to find in gluten free baking mixes, or baked goods in general - so much starch! This mix makes great pancakes and waffles, I've made both - and not only do they smell like regular pancakes and waffles, they taste like them too - with great texture! They even reheat well if you have some left over. Happy to see a multiple pack package available at a decent price.

If you are used to eating King Arthur's normal non-protein mix this will definitely not be as sweet but it is easier to control the end result since this protein mix serves as a much more neutral base than any other pancake mix i've tried. This mix is not full of sweeteners so it doesn't taste like a traditional pancake on its own, however if you mix in an egg, a spoon of oil or other fat source, a banana and some vanilla extract, it will end up tasting amazing. The ingredients this uses add enough extra protein and fiber without a ton of unnecessary empty carbs so it never feels unhealthy eating these. Amazon also always has way better availability and pricing than my local supermarkets for the protein mix so I end up getting this for even less than the non-protein variety. It is easy to cook as well and can be cooked to a fluffy interior with light browning.

This GF King Arthur protein pancake mix tastes great and is a good deal on Amazon! The only problem I experienced was that I ordered 2 bags and one of them was shipped with a plastic bag taped around it. The flour was leaking all over the bag. Upon closer inspection, i noticed there was a tear in the bag and they had shipped it knowing it was leaking, thus the plastic bag wrapped around the product bag itself. The other bag was fine. I tried to file for a replacement as I was not about to ingest a damaged food product, not knowing about the safety of it. Well there are no returns "due to it being a food item for safety!!" Luckily I was able to chat with an Amazon service representative and they did credit my account after I told them what happened. They recommended I donate it somewhere, but I told them I couldn't because you can't donate opened food items... I had to throw it out. I would love to order more, but am afraid in case this happens again....

This is THE BEST gluten-free mix I’ve ever had! Bonus that it has protein in it. My kids love the taste and texture of this mix. I can only find the protein mix on Amazon, and the price is the same as our local grocery store charges for the GF mix without protein. Great value, and easy to follow instructions for using a waffle iron, as well.

When you have celiac disease and you're on a gluten-free diet the choices are limited. Have they gotten better over the past 20 years? Of course. But not everything is healthy when it comes to gluten-free options at least as far as mixes or pre-made items are concerned. This King Arthur gluten-free protein pancake mix is an exception! It is delicious, it is high protein which is rare in pancake mixes or sweet breakfast items. I usually make a whole batch at once and store the refrigerator or freezer and pull out a few here and there. I have upped the protein in these by using a protein milk which is great as well. My son likes them for a quick and easy breakfast on a school morning. We love it so much that I have subscribed and save on this item for a monthly delivery. 😁

It's not marketed as plant-based, but is easily adapted for that by just using alternative milk and leaving out the eggs. It’s so simple to make, which is a real treat when you're used to spending more time on plant-based meals. The pancakes are both fluffy and tasty! It’s on the expensive side, but for the combination of taste, nutrition, and convenience, it's totally worth it.
