16-Channel 4K NVR (1080p/3MP/4MP/5MP/8MP) Ultra HD Network Video Recorder Cloud P2P Remote Access Motion Alert (No Built-in WiFi)

This is a nice little NVR. I added a 3tb WD hard drive. I have three 1080p cameras and a 4k camera linked to it using ONVIF. One of those is a finicky doorbell camera that temporarily bricks itself when other ONVIF NVR apps try to access it. Thankfully this NVR can login to that stream without issues. This NVR records reliably and the motion detection works. It also hasn't seemed to slow down at all as I've added cameras and the playback interface is fast as well. It outputs to a 22" computer monitor over HDMI.Nothing special to say... It is more than enough to watch my home.

The NVR is reliable and ease of use is okay once you get past some of the menu UI issues. It even has an app (XMEye Pro) which is not the greatest, but it gets the job done and also allows for viewing of recording from the app. I dropped one star because I'm unable to get alerts directly to the app, even though there is an option for that, but doesn't seem to be working.I bought the 16 channel and it connects to all my cameras and am able to record (currently 4 streams in 2-5MP). I wasn't sure about it at first, but after a few months it's still going strong. I upgraded from a Foscam NVR, which was less than stellar or reliable. I plan to upgrade to a NAS based NVR like Synology or Qnap anyway, but this is doing a good job in the meantime.

When comparing this hardware device side-by-side with Blue Iris, I've found the cameras disconnect from the NVR much more often and do not automatically reconnect. I use a mix of ONVIF compatible wifi and POE cameras. The highest bitrate camera I have right now is a 5MP Reolink and it seems to disconnect from the NVR every few hours. Blue Iris doesn't have any issues with any of the cameras.The mobile app (XMEye) is a total joke. Look up the reviews on the app if you expect to use the app when connecting to this device. It wants you to sign up for an accountThe device does have a web server, which is probably how the app connects. However, you cannot simply use a web browser to view cameras. A simple web-based remote viewing option should be standard, but they want to sell you cloud services through their mobile app.At the end of the day, the device does what it advertises. When you open it up to install the hard drive, the internal circuit board is nothing more than a small corner of the case. The hard drive is 2-3x as large.The interface is surprisingly fast and responsive.The 2 missing features that prevent this from being useful are the remote web-based viewing and the ability for the device to automatically reconnect to cameras.

So this NVR is a pretty good deal. It automatically configured my ONVIF cameras (a mix of 5MP, 3MP, and 2MP) once the network was configured. Currently have six cameras in rotation (called a tour). Haven't played with it much but was up & running in about 30 minutes. Will have to spend some additional time getting acquainted with all the features but so far this has been a good deal.

DO NOT buy! Avoid this piece of **** like it had covid. Its GUI is easy to click to start but that is were easy ends. Starting with the second click even those with a doctorate in computer science will have difficulty navigating the arcane interface. Additionally the NVR randomly misplaces camera URL's causing duplicate and missing images. The designers should be ashamed!

Very happy. Very easy to setup. Installed a hard dive with 2 wires. Up and running. Did a scan of my network found the ip cameras on the network.Make sure all your cameras are in the same ip network.No issues.Car detect. Face detect. Recording schedules. Record on alarm.Great deal for the price. Very happy

This nvr was compatible with my old Dahua bullet cameras, my off brand PTZ camera, and the latest cheap Dome cameras. When I opened the case to install a hard drive, I was surprised there is very little electronics running the system (smaller than a credit card).

It records and connects but the interface is difficult and the mouse is mostly unresponsive. The remote can be used but it is clunky. Will read onvif cameras but not connect the duhua. It will connect to hikvision protocol cameras. Picture quality is ok, time stamp drifts by almost an hour per month. If you need something to get you by then buy it but if you can afford a little more - buy something else.

Works perfectly with my tapo cameras, and other brands,all the features work great, I like the feature when you can have all the cameras on display and you can click on one camera and zoom, alter position at the same time.Does everything I want in a NVR. found it better than the original.

No detecta las camaras ip onvif mas vendidas de amazon, la tapo c510w!!!. No lo compren, es basura. Una simple placa de alixpress de 17eur detecta todas las ip cam del mercado, y este nvr que cuesta 5 veces mas... No las detecta. No recomiendo su compra, a no ser que el vendedor te asegure que la ipcam que quieres usar la va a detectar.
