Punch up for beginners!
Civil war writ large, makes for dramatic reading and flows quite well. Enjoyed the story and hope to find the next two books in the series. Rathe enjoyed the on the job training!

Top action read.
Good idea bringing a new American Civil War into this very exciting and fast paced war story. Top writer and it packs a punch

Into the guns
According to this book nothing exists but America..Mexico is mentioned very briefly but every other country is ignored. No Canada no Europe no Africa no Asia. There is no mention of interaction between nations....nothing.And for a country that seems short of fuel, everyone seems to find plenty of it. A tad unreal Mr. Dietz.

Good, but frustrating
Not a bad book at all - an easy read, but I found myself getting more and more annoyed with glaring holes in the plot with too many things left unexplained - starting with the beginning in that these huge celestial fragments came as a surprise? Much of the plot lacked explanation which made is unconvincing. As a sci-fi/Zombie type genre fan Iām not concerned with likelihood & possibility etc but I do like to have the basics explained.

Good read
I wasn't too sure I would like this book to start with. I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend you give it a go.

Worth a read
Reading some of the reviews I don't know whether to tut or chuckle! This is a work of fiction, based on the far fetched aftermath of a cosmic disaster. It is not the work of someone trying to win a Nobel prize for literature. I read two of the three books while on holiday, and have almost finished the third. They are enjoyable recreational reading, with some very interesting military possibilities, and political twists. Give them a go!Though I have to say, I never considered that comet impacts would result in so many women becoming high ranking, and ruthless warriors!
