solid construction, good software for mac, great feel to use.i have not had a chance to up my production on the machine i sat them at ... so i havent worked them into my routine enough yet to see if it truly improves my efficiency ... but either way they are pleasurable and were worth the money to me

Its just OK, be prepared for some frustrations
The hardware is really good, being able to configure layouts with the magnetic bits is great. Build quality is really nice, but all the good things this product does ends on the hardware side unfortunately. The software that controls all this is just bad. It won't recognize older versions of Photoshop, so you can't use anything before CC. It's self updater just crashes when you try to update and does nothing, leaving you having to update manually. The colored LEDs on the unit stay on even when you're not using it and the only options you have to turn them off is to set each module in the software LED's color to black, a tedious process that you have to make another profile for. The sliders are next to useless, you cant assign them to control keys like the buttons or knobs, so you're pretty much stuck with using them to control brightness or volume unless there is specific software function support.Hopefully the software improves in time, but right now its pretty lackluster.

Likely a very good product if you're an Adobe user but..
For someone that uses Adobe products, I believe this would likely be a very good buy as it comes out of the box with functionality specially made for their software. I have no way to verify if it works well for those products but that it is indeed geared for that. The hardware itself is well crafted, and seems to be very solidly made. the parts snapped together as advertised and is reconfigurable also, again, as advertised. The software itself took less than 5 min to install and start up. The device connected easily and without complications or a reboot. It was recognized without extra device driver installation or complications. Now for the reason it was not a product for me. I use art software called Clip Studio Paint EX. There are a number of key combinations I use very regularly with the tablet for canvas manipulation (rotate, pan, zoom) and for dynamic brush size change. I purchased this to see if there was a better way to do this - as I have my hand on my keyboard constantly and it's a bit out of the way for me to the left of the tablet which kind of is tiring at times. With an extra key device I would have moved it closer to the tablet and on that point, palette gear would fit the bill. Here are the number of reasons I found that for me, it's not worth the price:1. Slider component only offered the ability to change system volume and monitor brightness. No programmability for things ilke making it work for zoom, or rotation on the Clip program. Essentially a waste of space for me, for that reason.2. buttons worked for programming them to work instead of key combinations by programming the key combinations but with the starter kit you only essentially get 2 buttons and one dial with button click functionality so, 3 buttons total. Which leaves me with needing to still go to the keyboard for the missing key combinations. rendered using an extra set of controls useless. I could add more buttons, sure but at $50 a pop, it's quite the high cost for what it does essentially.Again for the Adobe user, and if I were one, I might give it 5 stars but as it is I am not. But with that in mind I would still say likely the starter kit itself is a bit light on the number of controls and for $200 it may not be enough even for the Adobe user.Summary:Well made and effectively functional product for Adobe users but quite a bit higher priced than it should be for what you get functionality wise.

works great.
Takes some time to configure, but once setup, works great.

Nice quality parts, extremely basic software
I like Palette, but it has a ways to go. The hardware is generally high quality. One issue I had with the knob is it's not sensitive enough. It might be better if it were stepped. As is, there isn't enough sensitivity for certain tasks. The software is really basic. For a $200 minimum kit this was disappointing. I typically pair it with Alfred 3 to add functionality. Unless you're using this in photo editing suites (not my use), you'll quickly find its limits. I hope they continue to work on the software and push some meaningful updates. I've had mine for a few months now.
