Disappointed by the book of the dead but learning how you cannot separate but must incorporate religion and philosophy and there evolution, I found it particularly good as an add on to other books I am reading on theosophy. Some errors in print but good read if interested in the Egyptian religion and its changes

excellent
i have always loved middle eastern culture, and north africa too, and this is a very cool book. its not too long and drawn out, it gets tot he point, and i love the beginning especially because it discusses the racial/ethnic origins of the egyptians, and im very interested in that. i love dna research and human origins, and i find this book to be a very good read!!!

Deep and interesting.
I noticed some typos and a few of the old terms were difficult at first to understand as the spelling was a variation of what I had formerly read; The information was very informative and came from the angle that might have been presented by someone with a direct line to the ancient past.

excellent
Excellent book! gives insight to the mystical thought of the ancients. many of these techniques have carried on through other inovators and traditions, but we will surely cherish this book and use it as a resource., [...] numerology

Horribly out of date
This book is horribly out of date. It was written in the 1920s. Don't buy it. You won't learn anything.

not recomended
I was disappointed reading the book, it has many things translated, but almost all of the translations are like reading out of the holy bible. If I did not know better I would have thought that the Egyptians were all christian at the time the pyramids were built. The publisher offers free books for download form their website.I would not have bought the book, if I had know that it was a track. There are some of us that have read many books on magick, Greek and Roman books, and even Egyptian. However to the uneducated of the mysteries that are written about they might not know the difference.Besides better stories about Thoth can be found on other internet sites such as Wikipedia. The only thing that I can say is forgotten about the books referred to is that they are most likely ones that the author would have liked them to have written. Also anyone that knows history knows that the Trinity did not come until much later than the dynastic periods of the Egyptians.
