Downspouts on your home or business will be free of debris when you place the Gutter Wedge where the downspout and the gutter meet. Allows water to flow right through, but collects debris to keep downspouts clear. Bi-annually, just scoop debris out of the gutter to allow free water flow for another 6 months. Install The Gutter Wedges into your gutters with outflow adapter inserted in the downspout for clog free gutters. If your downspouts are located by a gutter support brace that prevents the gutter wedge outflow adapter from being positioned in the downspout, just remove the outflow adapter so that the outflow opening of the gutter wedge can be laid in the gutter over the downspout. The Gutter Wedge works great in either configuration.

Had to modify for my gutters
How can I give something 5 stars if I had to tweak it? We have fir needles. Lots of them. The rain washes them into the gutter and they pile up around the screen filters. I use one of the wedges on each side of the existing screen and the slope spreads the needles so it's easier for water to get past the needles. Very few needles by the screens now since the wedge gets most of them. I have to clean the wedge and screens less often now. But the wedge was a bit to wide to sit at the bottom of my gutters so I put some cloth under them. Also our gutters have sloped sides so I put a wedge of foam to seal the gap. Easy enough and the wedges work well.

Pretty neat little devices
I have the integrated torch down gutter style of house that was common in the 60s and 70s. In the past I've used gutter strainers, but they would quickly clog up. I'm not through an entire season yet, but these seem to be much less prone to clogging because they have a larger screening area. One thing to note, if you can use two end to end--that should be possible on any downspout not near an end or a corner. That doubles the screening area and also makes them more resistant to wind (wind is probably more an issue with torch down guttters). You can do that by removing the downspout device on one of them and then clipping them together with the provided clips.I only rate them a 4 because I would prefer that they had a longer downspout device or even the option for a larger downspout device. Since it's removable they could have had it come with 2", 3" and rectangular size downspout devices. Without the clogging though, maybe 2" is adequate.

Just makes the leaf build up worse and the customer service is horrible
This product was a waste of money. I was skeptical before buying these, but the surprising number of good reviews made me think that maybe they had found a way around the laws of physics. Here we are a few weeks later and the laws of physics still hold fast. You see, I couldn't understand how putting something at the top of the downspouts to block leaves from being washed down would help to keep the gutters clean. Turns out, these don't help and only make the problem worse. By having these in the downspouts, even small leaves get stopped by these things and begin to create a dam of debris much, much faster. Without these, smaller leaves will wash down the spouts just fine and the gutters only start to clog with larger leaves, or twigs with leaves still attached.Maybe these might help a bit if all you have is pine needles since these would, in effect, create a larger area before the pine needles clog up the downspout, but with anything resembling a real leaf, this is not a good idea. In fact, I went from having to clean out the gutters about once a month before getting these to only having to clean out the gutters about once every two weeks. Yep...that was a big time saver right there (sarcasm). As such, I'm giving these two stars. I would go one star only, but since the physics say that they might actually help someone with non-leaf debris (pine needles), I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and leave it at two stars. For everyone in the majority of the world with deciduous trees around, you should look elsewhere... like to real gutter screens that keep the leaves from ever getting in the gutters to begin with.Edit 08/19. Due to a rude and snarky response from the company, I am lowering my review to only one star. Avoid this product and vendor.Edit again 08/19. The vendor emailed me a response notifying me that they had refunded my money plus some. However, he couldn't resist being even more rude in the email and said "Some customers like to only leave negative reviews to make themselves look good. I son't [SIC] know why you did." He also went on to say "Please don't treat any other sellers like this. In fact, ordering online is not in your best interest. I think Lowes, Home Depot and Walmart would be better so you can put your hands on things before your purchases."Perhaps everyone should follow the vendor's advice and go buy from another store instead of him.

... work as described - fit well in gutters and superior to other strainers I have used
Wedges work as described - fit well in gutters and superior to other strainers I have used. Units snap together simply. Reason for 3 stars is for when units must be placed back to back, when a downspout is not at the end of the gutter run. They use these small plastic pins to link the backs together, and about half of the pins broke during assembly.

and you snap it together which is fairly easy to do
These are kind of clunky as a solution to clogged gutters. If your downspout is close to the end of the gutter, you'll be able to install this only in one direction, of course. It goes into the hole in the downspout but doesn't fill the hole -- so stuff can get by it. The "cage" seems decent enough. It comes folded flat, and you snap it together which is fairly easy to do. There are also two little "pins' attached which are supposed to allow you to attach one cage to another -- but they simply don't work. What I see is that things get by the cage, and other things pile up against the cage -- so you still have to clean out the gutter. It really doesn't work very well, I'm afraid.

Five Stars
Work just fine and good product! Snapped together easily and fit perfectly into the gutter downspout exit!

nice product
Seems like a great idea. I just put them in a few weeks ago so i have no long term view. But, you should be careful of the width of your existing gutter. I found that I could NOT fit these into certain gutters. to wit, one house had a more of a custom gutter rather than the standard u shape.Which means the product would not sit down into the base of the gutter. So be sure you have the U shaped gutters.

Does not perform well
Does not perform well at all. Not easy to place in gutters to to size/shape and the molded-in mesh pattern is too small and clogs quickly causing gutters to overflow. They are made of polypropylene and can be recycled, which is where mine are headed.
