The reason I am not giving this 5 stars is I specifically ordered this new mat to finally get a higher quality mat where I did not slip. While the bottom is not sliding on the floor and stays in place, I did notice that, once again, like past mats I've owned, the gripping properties of the top layer of the mat are not great. My hands slowly slip in basic positions like downward dog or similarly angular. I had very high hopes for this mat based on other customer reviews and was a little disappointed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all-around best the quality yoga mat I've ever tried *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2016* Before this mat popped up on my Amazon search, I'd never heard of Mint Mind Fitness. However, the stellar reviews and awesome claims all really enticed me to give this yoga mat a try. I'm so pleased to report that my leap of faith paid off because this is without a doubt one of the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon and certainly the best yoga mat I've ever used! I rarely write reviews on Amazon but I had to post because I really feel like this mat is extraordinary and worth every penny.First of all, it lives up to all of the claims:- It's so thick & cushy. I have weak wrists from a childhood injury so wrist-intensive poses, such as kakasana and vasisthasana, have been nearly impossible for me to do in the past without modification. However, because this mat is so dense and supportive, I've been able to actually hold these poses without modification, thus improving my practice. I never realized that a bad mat could be so limiting! Even shavasana is more comfortable.- This mat is truly non-slip. I've purchased (and returned) numerous mats that claim they are non-slip and every time I've been disappointed. I've tried towel-hybrid mats that claim the sweatier you get, the better they work. It's all a gimmick and total BS. This mat has a great grip without being too "sticky" or limiting. I can hold poses better and longer than ever.- It's super easy to clean and post-yoga/sweaty odors don't linger. I use my studio's vinegar based cleaner and my mat smells fresh every time I use it.- It is truly light-weight and commuter-friendly. I walk about a mile to work/my studio and it's the easiest mat to take along because it doesn't weigh me down.If you're in the market for a yoga mat, beginners and experts alike, this mat is far and above the best and will really benefit you and your practice. Even if you don't intend on using this mat for yoga, it enhances & really improves floor exercises and is just so supportive and comfortable. I highly recommend giving this mat a try! I can't wait to see what future products Mint Mind Fitness comes out with!! ### ⭐⭐⭐ This would be a great mat for someone tall who wants to do yoga--I ... *by I***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2017* This would be a great mat for someone tall who wants to do yoga--I do exercises where I need something thicker and smoother, so it's not working that well for me, but that's not a fault of the mat... --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/32431565-premium-thick-hot-yoga-mat-meditation-mint-mind-fitness-workout](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/32431565-premium-thick-hot-yoga-mat-meditation-mint-mind-fitness-workout) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
