So... I just got an iPhone, but I have an HP laptop. I take a lot of videos that need to be transferred to my computer for editing. But every USB data cord I used would only charge, not transfer data. My PC wouldn't even recognize it. I was having to use Google Drive to upload video clips, then download to my computer. Ugh!!! BUT now, with this thing, I can upload directly to it, store it there as long as I want, until I'm ready to use it on my laptop. I love that it has multiple options: USB-A, USB-C, and lightning ports. My only drawback is that the lightning piece is not long enough to plug into the port while my Otterbox phone case is on my iPhone. I have to remove the entire case to plug in this flash drive. But it is still so much more convenient than what I was doing before, I'm okay with it, and still giving 5 stars. I'm even thinking about just getting a different phone case. Would be totally worth it. :) The phone app is really easy to use, and I was happy to know that you don't need any software/apps for the laptop, where it works just like a regular flash drive. I can't speak for long-term reliability, since I haven't had it very long (maybe 1 month), but so far so good. Nov 2024 Update: I have been using this for the last 2 years on a regular basis and it still works perfectly. I did finally get a smaller phone case a couple weeks ago, and now I don't have to remove the whole thing just to use this drive lol

First thing that you will notice if you buy this is the quality – the drive itself is made of metal, and seems very solid. I also liked the packaging, it feels really premium. The drive works as expected – I use it as a portable storage that I can plug into anything (computer via USB-A, laptop via USB-C, iPhone via lightning) without any extra adapters. Be aware though – on an iPhone, it requires an app. It does NOT work without the app, and all transfers need to happen through the app. The app is pretty easy to use and the suggestion to launch it pops up automatically as soon as you connect the drive, but it does creates nuisance for some use-cases. For example, you can't copy a folder from the drive directly to iCloud Drive (or Dropbox) – the app can only work with the local storage, or export files one-by-one via the "Share" button. If 3rdParty app is a deal breaker for you, consider getting a microSD iPhone adapter instead – they work directly with the built-in "Files" app, and you can easily plug the card anywhere, so they essentially provide the same functionality. Another issue is the heat. The drive get pretty warm even when you're not working with it (but leave it plugged in). I'm not sure what will happen if I try to copy 100 GB of data on it...

Very easy to use. Has an USB C USB A and iPhone inserts and it also has an attached chain. Perfect to have on my trips so I can transfer all my photos and videos. Lots of storage space. Happy with my purchase. highly recommend.

Fast service

Did not intuitively function with older IPhone 8 Plus , therefore returned for refund. Potentially an issue with software app rather than hardware?

If I could give negative zero review I would. This product comes with a plethora of issues. Took numerous tries (and I mean numerous) to get this awful product to sync with iPhone and eventually transfer photos to drive. However once on drive - it will NOT sync to MacBook to retrieve any. Keeps saying device not connected, though the drive IS connected to the laptop and the app is loaded and opened on MacBook. Customer service contacts (emails only, naturally no phone number listed) does NOT REPLY!!!! I got burned…as I’m certain many others have … spend a considerable amount for this product and it does NOT work! Thoroughly disgusted.

😊 No more overloaded devices! To view stored iOS files, I attach this to my best iPad for viewing of content stored from any of my iOS devices. This is definitely one of the better “photo / video sticks and the customer service is decent! It also stores PDFs. I will purchase another. I have never used it on my desktop Macs. The JD Drive filing system presented with a learning curve for me — I ran and reviewed the suggested YouTube videos along with using the instruction book. Now it’s a breeze to use. TIP: To load in large numbers of files., have your device is fully charged before attaching JD Drive.

seems working perfectly, really helpful as sometime airdrop large files doesn’t work properly. so this is the best option.

Bij ons doet hij het niet. 3rd party software moeten installeren. Maar het lukt niet om foto’s over te zetten.

Absolut super Idee. Alles schnell und unkompliziert. 👍 selbst große Datenmengen (>1Gb) recht flott ca 30-60sec. Die Verschlüsslung ist super jedoch leider nur auf der App bzw. Handy. Vorschlag / Anmerkung: Schön wäre es wenn der Stick an sich auch verschlüsselt werden könnte…!?!? Denn im Falle des falls , wenn Man ihn mal verliert hat jeder die Daten / Fotos. Das wäre net so cool. 🤔 Trioden 5 ⭐️
