My 3 kids will be using this, so I wanted something no-frill and affordable. Would rather by two sharpeners costing less than $20 each rather than buying something costing costing $30-$40+. So the price for the unit I bought for well under $20 worked..Pencil sharpener is plug-and-use. Nothing fancy and nothing to figure out. And the device sharpens pencils fast and well..The unit is a bit light and the build is not S sturdy as I would have liked, but you get what you pay for. This is not a “commercial” or “industrial” grade sharpener at all..Three faults to point out..1 - The tray that holds the sharpened pencil shavings is not roomy at all. And you need to take care not to spill the shavings when emptying. Suggest high unplug and take the whole unit to the garbage bin to empty instead of just popping out the tray. It will prevent messy cleanup.2 - There is no auto-stop and it is impossible to tell if pencils are done sharpening. Check every 2 seconds or so. Otherwise, you will oversharpen and waste pencils. The instructions mention that the motor will sound different when done sharpening? I DO NOT think so. Check after 2 seconds or so. The sharpener is very fast and effective.3 - Hold the unit down while sharpening. The unit has very little weight and heft and the “rubber” backings on the bottom do not do a good job of holding the unit in place when you sharpen. Also, there is vibration, so you need to hold the unit down while using..Finally, I think the box said this comes with a 5 year or 7 year warranty. That is not true. The “instructions” say 1 year and that is accurate..All-in-all, this is still a 4 star purchase due to affordability, ease of use, and it’s effectiveness.

If you don’t want to spend a lot if money on a sharpener this one is a good choice, it doesn’t feel as powerful but it does the job, beside we only use it for my 2 daughters so is basically a light use. Very happy with this purchase.

Works perfectly for my 6 yr old son. He can sharpen his pencils for school and the colored ones for his art projects.

Works as described. Much better than our old model. Sharp points, easy to use, not too noisy. We use it daily for one or two pencils.

This is a very good pencil sharpener. I had to buy a new sharpener when our old one, (not this brand), suddenly stopped working. This sharpener is a bit loud in a high pitched way, but it works quite well.

Works well, & sharpens well. No need to buy an expensive sharpener, this one works really well.

Seems to be sturdy and so far has held up really well to a lot of pencil sharpening action.

My wife wsnted this. I prefer the smell you get from a wall mounted pencil sharpener. Anyway, she’s happy. Large enough to be steady, but small enough to fit on desk top. Easy to empty.

Works exactly as you expect... with any sharpener you can get one side sharpening faster than others, but i quickly found that by using a firm grip so the pencil doesn't rotate on its own that problem is pretty much solved. Works on pencils and pencil crayons, easy to empty with a large tray. I don't it very noisy for home use, but I also expect some noise from an electric sharpener.

Simple instructions, plug it in (I tried 5 different plugs), insert pencil and the motor should start...There is a loose wire or something internally cause if I knock it with my hand, the motor kicks in for half a second. The sad part about this purchase is that it can't be returned. Who sells products that can't be returned, I mean really!?! Great way to sell off your defective crap to consumers. Not happy.

Se descompuso a los 3 meses de uso ligero en el hogar. Por favor no compren este producto ya que se me descompuso a los 3 meses de uso ligero en el hogar y aparte le mandas correo a la garantía y no contestan (y amazon solo te da un mes). Pura perdida de dinero.

The tip would always break and the shavings were frustrating as well.Got this and we are loving it!It comes with power adapter, no need for batteries.Pros:1. Fast and works automatically2. Doesn’t break the pencil tips3. Holds shavings inside4. Runs on electricity, no need to buy batteriesCons:1. Sharpens regular pencils only2. USB power would be more suitableI recommend this to everyone!

Muy buen producto. En primera quiero destacar que llegó a tiempo y muy bien envuelto. Lo quería para casa, pero mejor decidí llevármelo a la oficina, así que a la semana afila más de 30 lápices, y ha funcionado muy bien. Se ve duradero, el plástico parece algo frágil pero es resistente, y muy fácil de limpiar, además de que no ocupa mucho espacio. El único pero que le encuentro, es que lo compré el 17/10/2019 (aprox. $218) y hoy 23/04/2020 cuesta más del doble. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.
