Cresimo Thermal Coffee Carafe 68oz / 2L - 12 Hours Hot Beverage Dispenser

This carafe works really well. I’ve only used it for hot coffee but it keeps the coffee super hot and it pours as you would want and expect. In case this helps someone: I bought this carafe to replace the original thermal carafe that came with my older Technivorm Moccamaster coffee maker. Somehow the original carafe lost its ability to keep coffee hot, even though it properly maintained its vacuum seal. The Technivorm carafe is about 3X the cost of the Cresimo. The Cresimo’s diameter is a perfect fit, but it is about 1/8” too tall to fit under the filter holder, which is attached with two screws. Elongating the plastic filter holder’s screw holes to allow the filter holder to be raised 1/8” was quick and easy with a drill; the Cresimo will slide right into place without obstruction or tilting. I also like the ease of pouring cleanly compared to the Technivorm OEM carafe which can be sloppy if you’re not careful.

Love this carafe! I make a pot of coffee between 6 & 7 am and pour the pot into the carafe instead of keeping coffee pot on and this carafe keeps coffee hot. Even the next morning if any left and forgot to dump out it is luke warm.

VERY NICE AND KEEPS THINGS HOT FOR A LONG TIME

This is a great product in design and look. But its sole purpose is to keep my coffee hot as long as possible. I gave 4 stars because of the great quality in materials built into this flask, but missed the reason I bought it. I will make coffee at 5am and by 10 am, the coffee is no longer hot but warm. By 1pm my coffee is room temperature. This is the second thermal flask I have bought for my coffee since my last one broke. And I will continue looking for better. Disclaimer: I use this at home since I work from home. My thermal flask doesn't need to look pretty. My old one was a cheap ugly looking one I bought from Brazil and it was amazing at keeping my coffee hot. If you need a flask for an office or waiting room. Also if you are constantly refilling it. This flask will do the job if you make new coffee every few hours. I make once a day and want it hot all day for myself. So this flask does not. Great product depending on how you plan on using it.

My family bought this carafe just before Christmastime in December 2017. We put in coffee and occasionally hot chocolate, using it for sporting events, car rides, and wherever we may need a bit of pepping up. As Christmas drew closer, I had a fun little party planned with a group of friends. There were going to be adult beverages there, so I decided it would be fun to bring something different. I filled this puppy up with about 15 ounces of Irish whiskey, threw in some brown sugar, nearly filled it up with hot coffee, and left the house around 10 PM. Once arriving to the party, I realized there were drinks galore. It turned into more of a beer and vodka event (we have the taste of poor college kids), so the Irish Coffee ended up nearly untouched. At the end of the night, I returned home safely via Uber and set the warm carafe on the counter before falling into bed. The next morning, the family and I were off to visit the grandparents for the day. They live about a three hour drive away, which is a perfect opportunity for the carafe to wake us up and get us there safely. However before leaving at 6 AM, my mother picked up the STILL WARM carafe (good job Cresimo, 5 stars), believing it to be filled with freshly made coffee, and put it in the car. Since I was a bit hungover from the night's festivities, this was the last thing on my mind. After we picked up my sister and brother-in-law, we were off. About 30 minutes in, I decided a nice cup of joe would aid my recovery. I began pouring and the smell woke me up. "Hey mom, you made new coffee, right?" "No, didn't you?" That's the story of how my sister, brother-in-law and I got a nice buzz before arriving at the grandparents. The Irish coffee was only warm, but it wasn't terrible and I decided the hair of the dog may help. My poor mother had to drive all 3 hours but I bought her a coffee and paid for gas at the station in exchange. In conclusion, this is a good carafe. Hope this helps!

Keeps our coffee nice & hot.

Pros: - Relatively inexpensive - Attractive looking - Keeps liquid reasonably hot for about 4 hours when pre-heated and filled more than 75% of the way Cons: - Spout and interior lip are made of textured plastic instead of a more hydrophobic material, which leads to excess dripping and a need to shake or tap the lid to help get all the drips out after releasing the lever. - The manual does mention that you need to keep the spout over what you are pouring into for a few seconds after releasing the lever, which is true (and lengthened by the first con mentioned above) - but what it does not say is that even after those drips have ceased, additional drips will occur as you right the closed carafe. You must keep the spout positioned over the cup while you right the carafe, or it will drip everywhere. - When the carafe is almost empty, it must be tipped quite a bit past 90 degrees (horizontal) in order to get all the liquid out of it. You must grip it near the bottom of the handle in order for this not to be exceedingly awkward to do. - After filling this carafe with hot liquid, the first time the lever is pressed to open it, the pressure differential often causes a blast of hot water and air to shoot forth, splattering whatever is in front of the spout. - This carafe is not good at keeping liquids hot when it is less than half full. Unless you're putting 10+ cups of hot liquid into it (coffee, in my case), it does not keep it "hot" for more than about 2 hours, even with boiling water pre-heating. Final thoughts: I had high hopes for this carafe and gave it a pretty fair shake - but I'll be buying something else due to numerous design flaws that make it annoying to use.

Cresimo Carafe keeps our coffee hot so we can enjoy it hours after brewing.

Für unseren 6-Personen-Haushalt habe ich eine große Thermoskanne für den morgendlichen und abendlichen Tee gesucht. In diese Kanne passt schön viel rein, sie hält ein paar Stunden warm und sie sieht gut aus. Allerdings bin ich gespannt, wie lange der kleine Drückerhebel am Deckel materialtechnisch halten wird. Wenn man den Deckel zudreht, muss man quasi gegen den Hebel drücken, um den Deckel an die richtige Position zu drehen. Da er recht "dünn" ist, könnte das irgendwann zum Abbrechen führen. Wir werden sehen.. im Moment sind wir sehr zufrieden.

Lo utilizamos para salir a repartir café caliente a las personas sin hogar durante el invierno. No lo hemos usado demasiado por ahora, pero tiene buenísima pinta. Conserva el calor perfectamente muchas horas. Es muy cómodo de servir y también de llenar y lavar. El sencillo sistema de uso se agradece mucho. Parece muy duradero, si bien aún no podemos asegurarlo. Lo único malo es que para transportarlo largo rato, el sistema de asa lateral no es el más cómodo. Pero compensa muchísimo a la incomodidad y poca durabilidad de los termos de grifo (pulsador), aunque sean algo más cómodos de portar.

Esteticamente piacevole e molto capiente. Apparentemente robusto: per la durata bisogna aspettare qualche anno ... Mantiene molto bene la temperatura (circa 12 ore) se sufficientemente pieno; se ci rimane poco liquido, tende ovviamente a raffreddarsi.

Overall it is very good. First part of the review is to address conflicting or incorrect info in reviews and questions. Second part is Pros and Cons of the product. It seems some say it keeps fluids hot, and some say it does not. I tested it for keeping things hot and found it quite excellent. I am from Canada, and I was taught at an early age that you must pre-heat a thermos if you expect it to keep heat, otherwise your hot beverage is cooled by heating the interior of the thermos. Anyway, I tested it by preheating with a cup of boiling water which I dumped out after swishing it around, then I filled it about 80% full with very hot water. The outside remained cool other than at the very top 1 inch which was noticeably warm to the touch. So other than the top 1 inch, you would not even know there was anything hot in it. After 4 hours, I poured some out onto my finger and it was so hot I had to my finger out of it. So I call that good heat retaining performance. Answers to questions say it is dishwasher safe: The instructions very clearly say it is NOT dishwasher safe - see attached picture for cleaning instructions. Cleaning by hand is recommended which is reasonably easy to do if you have a bottle brush or something like that. I personally never wash anything like this in a dishwasher so I will leave that to the reader to decide if this is a CON or not. PROS: - Very good heat retention - Drip free pouring CONS: - Pours a little slowly (not really a problem but it was noticeable) - Thumb valve feels fragile so it should be treated carefully to avoid breaking it Overall, it does as expected, and appears to be a quality product. So I feel is is excellent value for the price.
