Operation Umbrella is secure...WITHOUT any near javelin-type throw/landing all BECAUSE of the ultra secure twist-in sand anchor!
Having very fair skin, staying under the umbrella is a must for me! But keeping it in the sand can often times be a challenge. The Beach Bumbrella Ultra Secure Twist-In Sand Anchor solves that problem for me! Now I am able to set up the umbrella on my own without having to depend on my husband's strength to drive it deep enough into the sand to keep me covered (and hope it stays put). Now that we have the Beach Bumbrella umbrella anchor, my darling husband toted everything down to the beach and proceeded to pull out the umbrella to get me covered up right away (he didn't know about my little secret weapon). Once he got the umbrella out of the wagon I told him to stop for a minute and proceeded to slip the base of the umbrella into the Bumbella anchor. Of course he kept asking, "what are you doing??" to which I answered, "just give me a minute". After just few minutes the+ umbrella was firmly secured in Bumbrella Twist-In Sand Anchor...now it was his turn to go make it "Ultra Secure". So off to the beach we go...he's determined now to conquer the umbrella and this contraption that I am affixed to it. And, as he is prepared for battle with this odd looking cross/anchor contraption affixed to the bottom of our umbrella, he firmly plants the umbrella in the sand and gives it a couple of twists using the anchors reinforced, ergonomic handles and the anchor/umbrella twist into the earth and sand rather effortlessly!!! Oh Yay! No more near javelin throw type landing to keep the umbrella planted and upright!!!!__________Note, I am a longtime member of Amazon and myself rely heavily on reviews provided by others when making a decision as to whether or not to purchase an item--whether that purchase be one that I am making through Amazon or another source (such as a local store); therefore, I am very aware of the value of user feedback and do my best to assist others in making a quality decision by providing quality feedback. Was this review helpful to you? Easier to insert and more secure
The big question is whether or not the Beach Bumbrella is worth carrying to the beach and the answer is YES. It makes setting up an umbrella much faster and easier and more importantly, is very secure. It is made of heavy-duty plastic with reinforcement at the handles and mouth and will work with any umbrella with a pole diameter up to 1 1/2 in. It is just small enough to fit in a backpack or beach tote as it is 15 in. long and the handles are 9 1/2 in. wide. It is not difficult to carry as it only weighs about 288 g or 10.16 oz.The handles are much easier to turn than the pole of an umbrella and the tip is pointed at 45 degrees, so it requires less force and grip strength to drill it into the sand. The tip goes down into the sand a full 12 in. or more, much deeper than I can get the pole of either my small or large umbrella. The 5/8 in. spiral threads help it go in and then grip the deeper, compacted sand to keep it from pulling out. The anchor doesn’t even move enough to widen the hole as a pole does, so even the small umbrella with a 7/8 in. diameter pole is perfectly secure and doesn’t blow away. That is what I like best, as it eliminates the need to reinsert the pole in the sand every few hours or to chase after a runaway umbrella. It could also hold fishing poles with or without a PVC pipe extension. I often see fishermen at the beach trying to twist lengths of PVC pipe into the sand just like I used to do with my umbrella when they could be using this instead.Supramark provided a sample Beach Bumbrella for evaluation and review.

A Product that Delivers!
Last Saturday was a beautiful day in south Florida so I took my wife and grandchildren to the beach for some fun in the sun. I took along the Beach Bumbrella Ultra Secure Twist in the Sand Umbrella anchor and my beach umbrella. In the past the beach umbrella has served us well as a brief respite from the sun from time to time. Most of the time was spent trying to get the umbrella stable in the sand or chasing it around the beach. This time, after reading the very brief instructions I screwed the anchor into the sand. When the screw blades disappeared I kept going for about another 6 inches, then I inserted the umbrella into the shaft and screwed it tight. Joila!! I had a spot on the beach to retreat from the sun. I did not have to chase the umbrella down the beach every time the wind blew. We were at the beach for about two hours, during that time I never had to attend to the umbrella. Between the sun, the waves and the umbrella's shade it was a quite enjoyable day.I was provided this product at a significantly reduced price to test and review. This is the review.

Prefect for keeping my family shaded
My family loves the beach but having two little ones I get worried about them being exposed to too much sun. We always bring an umbrella with us but have problems when the wind picks up. I'm embarrassed by how much we have spent trying to find the perfect solution on beach shade when all we needed was our favorite umbrella and this inexpensive anchor. We have tried sun tents in the past because of the wind but those don't work well with our beach chairs. When I was able to receive this product (free) or discounted for my unbiased review I'm glad I did. The beach bumbrella anchor is made of very sturdy plastic. I was first concerned with the anchor being plastic compared to metal ones on the market. However, plastic won't rust and it won't weigh down your already full beach bag. It's simple to use, twist into the sand and insert your umbrella and secure it with the screw. My husband has no issues installing it into the ground. I can install it but it takes more effort for me (this only means I know the umbrella is secured). If you are regular beach goers like my family or have a great trip coming up you will want this. The sun is great but we all know how harmful it can be and shade is very important.
