If you bought an xbox one without a kinect and are planning to pick up a microsoft media remote (which uses IR signal to communicate), then you will be sadly disappointed in it's inability to control your tv/cable box power options or volume options.Solution? This product! Installed in 45 seconds, and stuck the sensor to my samsung (non-smart) tv... Presto! I can now toggle my television on and off with the xbox and also control the volume.We only stream shows and movies in my home, we do not have cable or satellite services. So we rely on the use of the xbox to tune into Netflix, Hulu or Prime Video.This IR extender is fairly priced and will certainly save time and aggravation by simplifying the television's function when I have my older family members over.

I purchased this for my Xbox One, but it does not work as claimed. In fact, it does not work at all which means that it is a POS. Do not waste your money on this garbage!!!!!

It worked for most things but not power which was the sole reason I purchased. Might have been TV issue, might have been XBox issue, or just an issue with the IR broadcasters on this. It was the last straw and I stopped using my XBox entirely.

This cord saved my entertainment center set up. My Xbox One S was not sending IR to the TV through the Kinect so I was desperate to try this because the "Xbox on" feature and voice volume controls are the main use of my Kinect and helped me eliminate all but one remote. This cable plugged directly into the IR out port on the back of the Xbox One S and the cord was plenty long to reach just about anywhere you need it to. Microsoft says to not use a cord with more than 3 IR blasters so I stuck with the one that had 2 and it works flawlessly.

Even through all that cabling and adapters, it works perfectly.Do be aware that the emitter is on the front of each module. So position it pointing towards the IR sensor for your device, not covering it (like was the case with the older Harmony One emitters).

I bought this to use a remote with my Xbox and tv. I have to mash the buttons on the remote. It is slow to respond. I have the emitter right next to my remote receiver on my tv. It works but not very well.

Granted, it’s a simple IR emitter, but it works great. Literally just had to plug it into my Xbox One and the setup on the console was simple. Just make sure you place it correctly so that the signal gets picked up (pics show the placement on my TV and DirecTV box). Definitely recommend.
