This stuff is real thin, less than a quarter inch thick. For your application, I'd use filter floss to build up to proper thickness, then the micron polishing pad. The combination should do the trick, plus you'll be able to make a ton of filters. https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Ribbon-Products-ABLPLY4-Polyester/dp/B0002AT7GQ/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1534194152&sr=8-8&keywords=filter+floss **Q: Will this help with micro bubbles coming from my return pump?** A: Our polishing pad is designed to trap fine particles from the water. It is probably not your best choice, but I am not sure how you were planning on using it. Either our Premium Dual Density filter pad or an aquarium sponge may work better. - Lexi M at Aquatic Experts **Q: explain micron ? 50 vs 100 etc** A: Our 50 micron polishing has a smaller pore size and will trap finer debris than our 100 micron. - Lexi M at Aquatic Experts **Q: Where would i place the pad and what direction in a grech cbg-800 5w uv sterilizer hang-on back filter, 20-50 gallon/211 gph, black ?** A: I always have the polishing pad as the last pad before the water returns to the aquarium ## Frequently Bought Together - Aquatic Experts Aquarium Polishing Filter Pad, Water Polishing Pad for Aquarium Filters, Filter Floss for Fish Tank Filters, (100 Micron, 24" x 36" - 1 Pack) - Aquatic Experts Aquarium Filter Floss for Fish Tank Filters - FilterFirst Aquarium Filter Pad - Media Roll for Crystal Clear Water, 3/4" - 1" Thick (12 Inch Wide, 72 Inch Long) - Seachem Indoor Purigen Organic Filtration Resin - Fresh and Saltwater 100 ml --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/323486492-aquatic-experts-aquarium-polishing-filter-pad-water-polishing-pad-aquarium](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/323486492-aquatic-experts-aquarium-polishing-filter-pad-water-polishing-pad-aquarium) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
