As of right now it only stays lit for about 2 hours. I would think that maybe it is because the days are shorter but for one thing I live in San Diego and for another I have a solar led spot light that gets the same light and it stays on for about 4 hours plus it is about 5 years old. It is nice for what it is. Kind of cool when it is on. I wouldn't buy another one.
