I also have a pair of binoculars made by Opticron and they have been superb. The loupe has two lenses which gives a less distorted image. The loupe fully lived up to expectations and gives a clear and undistorted image. 15x magnification really is the maximum that can be used and you have to be really close to the subject. This tends to block the light from the specimen so in future I would probably go for an Opticron with the built in LED. Already own the 10x version. Magnification as stated (which is not true of all magnifiers on the market) and good for nature study or working with small objects. Focal length about 4cm from sample (vs just under 2cm for 10x).
