(Queen) - Classic Brands Cool Sleep Ventilated Gel Memory Foam Gusseted Pillow, Queen

I am going to give this an honest review having read every review on this pillow before purchasing. I think it is important to understand that everyone is different when it comes to what they are looking for in a pillow. I also think it is important to understand that many people are simply uneducated as to what type of pillow they need so they buy a pillow not suited to their sleeping style and then give it a bad review. Most of the bad reviews on this pillow can be chalked up to the things mentioned above.I am a back and side sleeper so I put alot of research into pillows that fit that bill. I am 5 ft. 11 inches and weigh 175 pounds. I do not like pillows that are just cushy soft. I wanted a pillow that was supportive but also somewhat soft as nobody wants to lay on a brick. Basically I wanted a pillow that was a good mix of comfortable but supportive. This pillow is incredible in every way!I measured it at about 32 1/2 inches long by 15 1/2 inches. It is about 5 inches in height. The height is important for a side sleeper as it takes up the space between the end of your shoulder and your head in order to keep your spine aligned. This pillow is not a super dense foam so it is soft but still has rebound and support. The denser the foam, the harder the feel. My head sinks just enough to align to my spine with a beautiful soft and cool feel. The cover is of beautiful quality with great stitching and a zipper that you don't even know is there. It can be removed and washed.I want to touch on some things that I read over and over again in negative review's. The smell was one of those. I noticed a very slight smell which is actually called "off gassing." The smell was hardly noticeable to me and dissipated within a few day's. All memory foam does this so if you can not handle it, memory foam of any type is not for you. It does go away. This is true for Tempurpedic as well. The next was that this was not real memory foam. This is a laugher. This is memory foam without a doubt. I will not even expand on that because those people are flat out uneducated about what memory foam is. The next was that this was not for side sleeper's. This is every bit for side sleeper's. Everyone has a different build. Some people have broad shoulder's while other's do not. You can actually measure what is the perfect height for you before picking a pillow. I did this and this is perfect for me. Some may need a 4 inch loft, some may need a 5 inch loft, some may need a 6 inch loft etc.. Most people fall in the 4-5 inch catagory. This is 5 and probably has about a half inch of give when I lay on it. The next was that this does not keep you cool. This is a completely subjective statement. I tend to get hot and this pillow does have a cool feel to me. Memory foam in general does retain heat more and I have had other memory foam pillows that are hot. This one was not hot compared to other's I have owned and has kept me cooler than any other pillow I have owned. Another thing was that some thought it was hard. This is once again subjective. I found this pillow to be a perfect mix between soft and supportive. Some people love soft and only soft. In order for a pillow to have some support it can not just be soft, but, once again a subjective statement. This pillow is not for everyone on that front. Also, while this pillow did have a soft feel out of the box, memory foam also has a break in period like most other pillow's. If it is not as soft as expected when first purchased, give it some time and it may come out to your liking.Lastly, I want to touch on the more highly rated, and also more expensive Iso Cool pillow. I have never owned one, however, they are almost identical in construction. The reason I bought this particular pillow is because the gusseted Iso Cool only comes in a standard size and that was just not going to cut it for me. I am more than happy that I found this pillow as I imagine it is everything that pillow is, just in a bigger size, and for less money. At the end of the day this pillow is perfect for me so I can not see the Iso Cool being any better. Hopefully this helps someone out there in their search for a new pillow. Hopefully it also helps some people out there who this pillow may not be suited for. It is not for everyone.

I have had this pillow for over a year now. I love it. It is very comfortable and it supports the head very well. I highly recommend.

I have tried for years to get an extra firm pillow that does not end up going soft over time. This pillow has been fantastic. Is has just enough give to be comfortable yet firm enough that my nose isn't covered when sleeping. The height is almost right, but I still have to place another ordinary king sized pillow underneath it get it to just the right height. This is fine for me because I tend to place a had between the two pillows when sleeping. The foam breathes well and my head never feels too warm or cold. This pillow also does not end up squished in the middle it truly returns to it original shape. I purchased this back on July 25, 2021 and it is still like new.

First off, the description has two different heights listed and I would like to inform you the true height is 5.1 inches, not 6 inches. If it were 6 I think this pillow would be perfect for side sleepers. But as it is right now, I find I get some stiffness in my shoulders, because I am a side sleeper, and I am not a tall or broader shouldered girl. I plan to buy a piece of foam to shove under it to give the additional lift I need.But laying on my back reading, this is the best pillow ever!As for being cooling. It is cool to the touch when you first snuggle in. But like all things, if you cuddle with it long enough it tends to warm up. I don't mind it though, and I do find it far cooler than a traditional foam or down filled pillow.For firmness, at first it feels very stiff and...firm squishy? But as you break it in it seems to get a bit softer. The rebound is a bit delayed as well.

Searching for a pillow can be a daunting task. I have a very sensitive neck and suffer from Scoliosis in my back. To fipind a good pillow is a challenge because I need the right amount of firmness and softness. I have found only memory foam pillows help my neck pain. There are so many to choose from. I bought a Tempurpedic pillow to replace the last one I had for about 5 years. The old pillow was a really nice pillow and was perfect for my neck. The new one was much lighter, softer and cheaper feeling. Over a hundred bucks and it felt like most of the memory foam pillows you see at Target or Ross. I bought a Ghost Pillow here on Amazon and really wanted to love it but it has a low density memory foam that created multiple pressure points and did not put my neck and spine in proper alignment. It was about a 1/2 inch to high. The ghost pillow looks nice but it was not as comfortable nor any more cooling than the Cool Sleep pillow from Classic Brands.I will list the features I like of this pillow.Memory foam is latest gel cool technology and is a midweight foam so it does conform nicely to your head and does not create any pressure points. You feel like you are sleeping on a cloud.The pillow cover does seem to keep the pillow cool. I noticed a big difference between my normal pillow cover and the cool sleep pillow cover. The holes to allow for air flow but the foam is dense enough that it does not make the pillow too soft.I bought the queen size which is a nice large size. The pillow is perfect for back and side sleeping which is all I do.I was really skeptical about the no name brand and Chinese make but it seems to be of high quality. For the price I can three of these for one Tempurpedic. I was also skeptical about the gusseted design but it also seems to work rather well.I also like the fact the pillow cover seems nice and can be removed and the pillow underneath has a cloth lining so it is not just foam.There was some chemical smell as there is in all memory foam pillows but it was not too strong and has gone away after a week.This is the best value, most comfortable, best quality memory foam pillow I have owned.
