Really cool and informative!
I love this book. So many cool floor plans, drawings, and great detail of the thought processes behind each building. As someone who loves anything MCM, this was one of my favorite purchases.

Influential and ahead of its time magazine
Wow. Best known for spearheading the Case Study Home program, Arts & Architecture magazine was revolutionary. From architecture to politics to affordable housing, its vision was/is timeless even in 2022.Relatively short-lived as many great magazines were in their hey days (think Esquire in the 60s and 70s and Spy magazine in 70s and 80s), this book captures the prescient influence of the magazine on future generations. My opinion.Yes, it's a massive and heavy book, but for fans of forward-thinking home architecture and design, it's a must-have for their book collection.Thank you Taschen for having the vision to publish it-- and at an affordable price. At times the book is almost too overwhelming. But take that as a compliment.

Nice coffee table book
Nice coffee table book with period articles. Articles are straight reprints from the original magazines, and are fantastic. If there was any disappointment it would be the lack of magazines in their entirety. Though there are some advertisements (which I particularly wanted to see), this book doesn’t contain exact reprints of any full magazines. I’d imagine that is why the full volumes are offered in the complete set, but that costs hundreds of dollars more!

État pas bon
Le livre est très endommagé alors que le carton de livraison était nickel. Je suis très déçu par l’état du livre. Le descriptif du livre ne correspond pas à son état réel.

A great look at post-war 1940s American Architecture - complete, full-sized editions of the magazine
Exactly as described - a complete reprint of Arts and Architecture from 1945 to 1949, complete with ads, editorials and artwork. A real slice of post-war optimism. As well as the articles, it is great to see the ads for such things as textured plywood, concrete fittings, furniture, turnkey houses, modular houses, etc.The reproduction is faultless - as good, or better, than the original magazine. And if Modernism is your thing, the complete Case Study House program from inception to articles on the built houses is fascinating. For architecture buffs, an invaluable work.I followed up with case Study Houses by Elizabeth AT Smith : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Case-Study-Houses-Elizabeth-Smith/dp/3836510219 - an even heftier book (if that’s possible!) and more focused on the CSH program.
