Two broken souls come together.
Noah is doing the construction on the Inn that had a fire. Brianna is the architect from Boston who cannot believe she is stuck in Butler, Vermont where there is no cell service. Noah doesn’t need this, ok gorgeous, architect literally counting each nail he uses. This Inn may experience another fire but it’s a cross as to who will set it, Noah or Brianna. The Inn’s owner gives the pair a coupon for dinner the next town over, suggesting they shake hands and enjoy a meal. Over the meal they each “let their hair down” and actually enjoy themselves. There has been an accident and the road to Butler is closed. Since the restaurant has a few rooms above them they have to share a room for the night. They finally admit there has always been a spark amidst the angst. These two have way more in common than they ever thought. Noah’s found his wife in their bed with his foreman and best friend a little over two years ago. To say Noah has been a grumpy 💩 since then is an understatement. Brianna’s husband is a sociopath and has stolen from too many to list. He refuses to sign the divorce papers and Noah realizes he has never filed.I’m sorry I could not give this five stars. My problem is with Noah. He has runout on any family thing for two years now. With seven siblings and ten first cousins, his Uncle Linc and grandfather Elmer, I find it hard to believe someone didn’t plan an intervention by now. And no one really noticed his foreman/best friend disappeared the same time his wife did? Also I think Noah has a bit of a temper. At the end it seemed to be controlled by having Brianna around.Brianna is being sued by her ex. Noah asks his attorney brother to start divorce proceedings and something unexpected is found.

I love this book.. I hope you enjoy it..💖💖
Brianna pulled back to place her hand on his face. “Take a breath. We’ve got this. We’ll get everything he needs and make sure he feels at home here.” “I want you to feel at home here, too.” “I already do.” “When your lease is up at your place, do you think you might want to move in here?” “I believe I would.” “And the business… You might be into that, too?” “Absolutely. “Does that mean you’re going to give notice to your job in Boston?” “That means I already have. I called the office on Friday to let them know I wouldn’t be coming back to Boston after I finish the project here.” “What did they say?” “They weren’t happy and tried to offer me a raise, but I told them ‘no, thanks.’” Noah’s heart, already full to overflowing after the time with his son, felt like it might explode after hearing she was making definite plans to stay with him. “The horse barn… Do we think that might be our first project?” “Other than meeting Elliott, it’s all I’ve thought about since we saw it yesterday. I’ve even roughed up some sketches.” Noah released a deep breath. “We’re going to do this, then.” “We’re going to do it, but only if it’s what you want, too.” He gazed down at her sweet, gorgeous face, memorizing every detail. “Before I met you, I would’ve sworn I was done with love and relationships and everything that goes with them.” “I was right there with you. All set, thank you very much.” Smiling, he kissed her. “But then there you were, shaking that finger at me and firing me up with your smart sexiness, and suddenly, there I was, right back in the place I swore I’d never go again. But it feels different this time. It feels good and safe and right.” “For me, too, Noah. I swear to you I’ll never hurt you the way she did.” “And I’ll never hurt you the way he did.” She curled her arms around his neck and kissed him. “I love you.” “I love you, too.” He believed that when she said those words to him, she truly meant them. He had faith in her, and he trusted her to keep her word to him. “How about you show me those sketches?” “I’d love to.”

Bittersweet.. but totally awesome addition to one of my favorite series...
We all know good things have to come to an end but does this series...? The author announced there will only be "2 more" in the series and this book really brought the cousins to the forefront and it makes me sad they will not all get their own book. Not to mention Linc's siblings as well. But there is always hope for just one more...Noah has been a loner in the family which says a lot with so many cousins and siblings around. So bad that his mother meets him at his truck at the butt crack of dawn just to check in with him. He was married and that marriage imploded quickly and he never shared with anybody as to why he was no longer married. He also lost his most "trusted" worker in the deal and no one in the family knows what happened. He newest pita is the architect he is forced to work with on his project of rebuilding the Inn that burned in town.Brianna jumped at the chance to leave Boston to oversee the rebuilding of an Inn in small town Vermont. What she did not expect was no cell service, constant snow, the cold she can not get used too and the lead contractor on this job. She is also happy to be away from he estranged husband who has made her life miserable. SO much so she never wants to be in a relationship again. After the owner of the Inn overhears another "discussion" between the architect and the builder she sends the to dinner to try and get the two of them to let bygones go and treat each other nicely. What happens is both Noah and Brianna tell their histories and realize how much they have in common. What they don't realize is how bad the conditions have gotten outside and now they need to stay in one of the famous rooms upstairs, with only one bed.As always a great story with some catch up of other siblings and family, but it makes me sad to know we only have two more guaranteed books, and I worry about certain older characters.
