VVAY Vintage Kerosene Oil lighter Golden Combo with Permanent Match(Sold without Petrol)

I'm very pleased with this. It looks good, it works great & the instant match is brilliant. It came on time, nice box & looks way more expensive than I first thought. It can be finicky to get it to spark at first but once you're used to it it works every time like a charm. 10/10 I can highly recommend.

I usually use Zippo, and refill around every 3 days. This has lasted two weeks without, so far, a refill. Easy to light of you have a reasonably strong thumb. Well designed, the permanent match once you learn the trick, put its edge in the grove at the side of the striker and push it away hard, works well. It has a place for a spare flint. This is how my favourite lighter.

Good lighter with a little bit of a learning curve to get used to. The “everlasting match” is more of a gimmick than it actually working, striked once and has not worked since. The lighter on the other hand is built well from my experience and strikes nearly every time. A little tip i had to find out myself is that if your having issues with the flint, take out the little gold metal thing at the end of the spring and dont fully tighten the spring back in, no leaks with daily usage and for people struggling to spark it, use the little metal dials thats sparks it, learnt the hard way with a blister on my hand trying to spark it from the actual flint wheel and not the dials

Really love this lighter. I prefer petrol lighters to gas, and this has a permanent match incorporated. It has a lovely weight and looks good. The action is consistently good. My only concerns are the video of how to change the wick won't load and the company has no website. The instructions says the item has a lifetime guarantee and they provide an email address. Hopefully I won't need to use it.

If you want a novelty lighter that 70% of the time isn’t gonna work this is the one for you! Hahaha only had the thing maybe 18 hours and it’s already set fire to it’s self and slash my middle finger it takes so much force to get a spark or flame out of the “permanent match” which in reality is a flint with wick in the end not shown in the pictures ofcourse lol. The flints they send you don’t work because they are coated in some gold trash paint so prepare for that

After using the item only twice the striking wheel fell apart. I also had to return Shane the wick because it was completely bent and would not strike.

I bought 9 of these as groomsmen gifts for my coming up wedding. Pros and cons: Pros: - Looks great - relatively cheap - Comes with spare parts Cons: - Not easy to light That is only one con but it is a big one for a lighter. I spent hours before giving the gifts away trying to understand how to make them work better but, despite this, they were a flop when giving the gifts away because it is difficult to get a flame on the main lighter, and the permanent match is even harder (but that is more of a novelty so more forgivable). Some worked better than others, but arguably none of them well enough. I think I kid myself for ages that they WERE good gifts but needed some work, but I've backtracked on that when they became an embarrassing gift where people would have a competition to see how many attempts it took to get the lighter lit, and some were never able to light one. It has become a bit of a joke amongst friends too, and half them friends are smokers, so it's not due to a lack of experience with lighters. So yeah, sadly, I bought this because of the cost effectiveness but i got what I paid for... I would have put my money elsewhere if I had known this outcome.

Delivery was fast, nice lighter but after couple of days I had issue with spark. I couldn't light lighter anymore. From the beginning was hard to make it work.

Poco que decir. Como mechero-curiosidad es 10/10. El acabado es bonito, toque envejecido, las piezas se notan sólidas y todo funciona exactamente como debería. Para ser un poco puntilloso, si tuviera que sacarle algún defecto sería que, en primer lugar, el acabado de las piezas móviles es distinto al del cuerpo del mechero (un dorado ligeramente distinto, la pieza que gira al accionar la rueda es más mate), y que el pedernal se gasta más rápido de lo que parece (con encender la cerilla al rededor de 20 veces ya se queda a la mitad de anchura). Realmente es estupendo, los detalles anteriores los pongo para que los más exigentes sean conscientes, pero yo estoy encantado. Y lo mejor, es un rompehielos fantástico en cualquier conversación social.
