Love it! But size down.
I first ordered this belt in a size small, and found it was bouncing a lot and sliding up my waist while I ran. I provided this feedback in a review to the company, and they responded really quickly and amazingly! They said it sounded like the size was too big, and sent me an XS to try. I've been running with the XS ever since and find it stays in place much better. It does slide up a bit (it doesn't stay in place on my hips like in the product image here, but rather sits at my waist -- even when I place it on my hips to start [see pics attached]). I don't really notice/mind this once I'm running and my phone/keys/$ are secure so I'm happy! I also really like the color. The one thing I would say is that I've never been an XS before -- I'm a size 6/8/sometimes even 10 and that's never translated to an XS before this. With that said, my recommendation is to size down when your'e ordering the Pakrat. Otherwise, it's a great product from a very thoughtful and customer-oriented company.

Great for travel safety!
As I was planning my first trip to Israel and Turkey, I knew that I needed heavy duty worry free security for my extra cash, emergency credit card and passport. Since I was traveling solo, I knew I had to be extra careful. Over the years I have accumulated the traditional neck and waistpacks. The waistpacks have lightweigh buckles which made me nervous. All of these were good for passport, credit card and minimal backup cash, they were way too small for the cash in small bills that I intended to take with me. I knew that I would be making numerous small purchases, and wanted no surprises on my Amex when I returned. I finally settled on the PakRat for several reasons:. American made, the reviewers who complained that to get stuff out they had to stop and fiddle, and the flexible and large capacity.I ordered XS. When it arrived, I tested it with about the same volume of paper on my hip on bare skin, on my hip over various pants, and above my waist under my bra. In all these positions, my PakRat did not shift. I put cash in the front, and the passport in one of the back pockets. I ended up wearing it above my waist under my tunic. The bulk of the bills was hidden by my breasts. When on public transportation to and from airports, I felt secure. When I arrived at the airport, I ducked into the Ladies, shifted the contents into my small theft proof crossbody bag leaving the PakRat on my body. After security and passport control, I returned everything to the PakRat. I did that because the scanners were likely to be set off by the cash.THE PAKRAT PERFORMED LIKE A CHAMP. There was no way anyone could get to my stash! The only downsides are the logo and the blue stitching. I would never wear this over pants and a leotard at home on the streets of NYC with any logo showing and the blue stitching calls attention to the PakRat. If the company would produce an all black logo free version, I might buy another one. I would also like a plastic zipper on one of the small pockets for my passport.

A good idea that needs work
I wore this on an 11-mile run in prep for a half marathon. I like to have my phone with wired headphones for music, cough drops to help with dry mouth as I don't want to carry water, tissue and keys. Once you put this on and go -- it's great. You almost don't feel like you're wearing it. Then I needed a cough drop. It was not easy to reach under and inside to access it. I ended up having to stop to get the cough drop out. After that, I had to readjust the belt as it had moved around.Same story with tissue. I took off my gloves, rolled them and they fit. But I could feel them. My mistake was rolling them instead of trying to put them in as flat as possible (can't do completely flat). When I wear fanny packs or running belt, it's not just to carry my important items. It's also for getting stuff in the middle of whatever I am doing. If I wanted it for carrying only and no access, this works.I've worn fanny packs to amusement parks and ziplining. And I still prefer the fanny pack because I don't have to stop what I am doing to get what I need. The one thing this has over the fanny pack is no bounce during runs plus it's not as bulky. The belt can get out of alignment during the run. Also the unused cough drops were stuck to the paper as the belt got sweaty. Lesson learned: use a plastic baggy. But that'll be another step as I'd have to open the belt, get the baggy, open the baggy, put it away, flip belt back down and adjust again. Too much work when I'm trying to get through a run.

You need one of these
This is a great little item to have. I received it a few weeks ago and have used it for two very different events. First, I attended a three day conference in an arena and I didn't want to carry a purse. I was able to sit for hours and move around between sessions without worrying about a handbag hanging on my shoulder.Today I used it for a half marathon. I barely knew it was there! It hugged my waist without slipping down or riding up. It worked beautifully. Most importantly, it holds a LOT of stuff. Today it held a key fob, license, money, an energy bar, lip balm, tissues, ear buds, pain meds, my large smartphone and a rain poncho. Plus, I still had some room to spare!I know I will use the PakRat again and again. You will not be sorry if you order one.
