Funnily I didn’t get these for their chimes. What I wanted was something silvery to reflect light as part of some steps to keep birds away. The homemade and commercial options just for that purpose were all subject to clacking sounds I found annoying so I thought why not try a chime.A few weeks after I have put them up and they are reflecting the light around to a sufficient level and happily tinkering away. I have 2 and they are not loud or intrusive generally. A sudden high gust will make you notice them but otherwise they just supply a gentle background noise.To judge, they are no louder than the gentle hum of the town I live on the edge of and are not as loud as the pigeons/doves in next doors dovecote unless being hit by a gust.Their tone is nice to me, not just metal hitting metal but a note from each pipe.As wind chimes go I prefer the ones I had at a previous house about 4 times as big with a deeper lower tone, but at 10 times the price and louder they only really work if your neighbours don’t mind your investment. These are cheap, sound good and don’t intrude too much on your neighbours so I’m happy with them.I can’t comment on durability yet as only a few weeks in, but being left exposed to the elements they won’t last forever. If I get 3 years I’ll be satisfied, more happy, and if less I’ll be back to revise and re-score. But for now they seem well made and fit for purpose so I’ve scored on that basis.

These arrived well packaged. They are as in the sellers pictures. The sound is nice, not deep. The varied lengths of the tubes gives a melody sound. It reminds me a bit of rain tinkling

The chimes make a light and eerie sound, used it in my son’s bedroom. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, very light and great looking.
