Well what’s there to say. I’m the type of person that really needs to put it to use and see if it works. I mow a large field and weed wack tall grass. I see snakes non stop. The occasional rattler, but mostly bulls snakes. They’re angry little fellers. Watch the video if you don’t believe me, but these things work. Super comfortable, nice and firm, makes me feel a lot safer, and I believe they will hold up. The adjustment straps are great, easy to tighten and loosen. I have nothing but great things to say for the price. Hopefully the snakes don’t bite as high as the knee though, then I could be in trouble again…

I got these for hiking and I was most concerned about comfort for long hikes with bouldering, etc. These stay put, did not ride up, were lightweight, flexible enough, did not restrict blood flow, etc. I was expecting to feel like the tinman. lol. I run cold, but I could see how someone who runs hot might find them too hot. That would go for any brand snake gaiter, I’d imagine. The straps don’t cinch down nimbly. I had to spend some time getting the fit right and just leave them like that. It’s impossible to snap them on and cinch them tighter. The plus side to that is that they won’t loosen while wearing them. It was kind of a pain to dial the fit it in at first but worth it. CRUCIAL: 1) Knee high socks (or pants) underneath. These might chaffe otherwise 2) Boots. I wear Trail Runners (low, regular shoes) and it leaves a small sliver of unprotected space from top of shoe to bottom of gaiter. Maybe .25x3”. Better than nothing. I might try rotating the gaiter so the longer flap is covering that exposed space instead of the top of my foot which is already protected by shoe. Or a DIY solution with small pieces of plastic cutting board. I heard 2 layers of (rollable) cutting board is sufficient for bite prevention. Despite some cons, I still give these 5 stars due to the very happily surprising comfort. These are undoubtedly not made for long, challenging hikes and they really deliver!

I bought this for hiking during the summer. It seems fairly comfortable and lightweight. The latches seems to fit very well. It does seem to hold its shape while you put it on your leg. One of the things that I would say is that adjustability may not be as good because my leg is fairly short so it does cause some, bending in terms of the padding. with that said it still feels like you get protection for snakebites. The material seems to be fairly sturdy of good quality. Is fairly thick and seems to provide excellent protection. The material seems to be made of padding as well as the material you find in white belt.

They were easy to put on and wear ..and was able to ditch the long hunting pants and wear my under the knee shorts with them ..and it was great idea to keep cool and protected in the heat..very comfortable to wear.

These snake gaiters work great and do exactly what they are supposed to do. They feel durable, fit snug around the lower legs, and are easy to adjust with the straps so they stay in place while walking or hiking. I also like that they are lightweight and pack down easily for carrying in a bag. I am really glad I took the chance on these and I would recommend them for anyone spending time in snake country.

These are nearly perfect for cutting tall grass and weeds in snake country. I've used them for about four weeks now, and they have saved me from copperheads and rattlers. They protect your ankle and calf, up to about knee. Don't wear them with sneakers! Wear leather boots. Highly recommend!!!

It’s an okay product! Just has some disused with staying up no matter how I go about doing it. Material is fine and it’ll do the job, just doesn’t stay up super well.

Fit and very comfortable. Just the right size and hight.
