Vault V525 Hard Case (Camera, Pistol, Gear, Equipment)

I bought the Pelican Vault V525 Rolling Hard Case with padded dividers for my camera gear, lenses, drone, and accessories, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. This thing is built like a tank — super rugged high-impact polymer construction that feels crushproof and rock-solid. I've used it as a literal seat during long shoots and it didn't even flex. It rolls smoothly thanks to the quiet stainless-steel ball-bearing wheels and the retractable trolley handle, making airport navigation or hauling gear across rough terrain effortless. The size is perfect for maximum carry-on compliance (fits most airline limits without issues), yet it's spacious enough inside for all my expensive equipment with room to spare. The two push-button latches are secure and easy to open, the heavy-duty ergonomic handles are comfortable even when fully loaded, and the weather-resistant seal kept everything bone-dry during a rainy trip to Iceland where baggage handlers weren't exactly gentle. My gear arrived in perfect condition every time — no scratches, no dust, no worries. Compared to more expensive Pelican models, the Vault V525 delivers nearly the same level of protection at a much friendlier price point. It's the best "bang for the buck" hard case I've ever owned. I own five of this exact case. I use them for photography equipment, carrying various camera bodes, lenses and other accessories. I have tried and own a lot (a whole lot) of camera cases, and I have to say that the overall value for the money of the Pelican brand products, you cannot go wrong. The overall quality of these cases is great. You can tell that it's a solid case from the start. When empty, it is much lighter than others in it's class, but the durability does not suffer because if this, it's still solid. I use mine for archery events and travel (globally) with them - a lot. They have been tossed around, dropped, and even run over by a side-by-side ATV - and it has survived and kept my equipment safe and spotless. I cannot really say enough good things about the Vault line from Pelican. I even have two of their longer cases to transport bows in - again - they have all been used HARD and ABUSED as well, and outside of normal scratches and dings, they are still going strong! I've had some for as long as I can remember now, and not a single one has any issue that would render it unusable. The latches have all held up well. The wheels still spin freely and smoothly. The inside of the case is nice and soft, and you can customize it for just about any use case. I can fit a lot of equipment in these things. Overall, I highly recommend these cases - you cannot go wrong at this price point. I believe you get just as much protection and quality from this case as you would with ones that are double the cost - and I can say that with confidence, as I own and have used those other cases.

This case is an amazing addition to my kit. The quality is great and the provided padding is excellent for configuring the inside to your own design. I am able to set it up depending on what equipment I need to use on a shoot. I have had it carry my DJI 4K mini along with my canon camera an multiple lenses ample room left for triggers filters chargers and much more. Fairly lightweight and great that it has a handle and wheels for ease of transport. Seems to be also TSA compatible. Highly recommended

Sturdy, good volume. Easily fit my two Z8 cameras with the attached 600PF lens on one and the 135 Plena on the other. Enough space for the 24-120 f/4 in addition and the batteries, charger, various cables, cleaning supplies etc. At the price they should include a lid organizer as well but I decided not to buy one since I feel it would compromise the protection for the gear by removing the lid foam.

Very sturdy and the inside containers were partly useful in my situation. My purpose is to store and have easily available a Ruger PC Charger pistol and extra equipment. I ordered Magpul Daka flats and other Daka shaped inserts to make it very tight and secure. Love it.

I recently purchased the Pelican Vault V525 Hard Case for my upcoming destination photo shoots in Europe and Hawaii, and I’m very pleased with it. The case is exceptionally sturdy and well-constructed, offering excellent protection for my gear. My standard elopement photo equipment fits perfectly inside, with ample space and secure compartments to keep everything organized and safe during travel. The build quality and durability of this case are top-notch, and it provides peace of mind knowing my valuable equipment is well-protected. I highly recommend the Pelican Vault V525 for any photographer looking for a reliable and robust case for their gear.

I have to say the inside of this case is really nice. You can adjust the dividers pretty much however you want with enough room for seven small and medium sized pistols with comps and red/green dots attached. My setup holds 38 loaded mags holding a total of 564 rounds which makes the case very heavy. Also it has room for ear and eye protection along with some mag loaders, range tools and paper targets. The case is still very sturdy. With that being said, there are some issues with the case. The pull out handle is very hard to pullout or push back down. The handle release is hard to use when trying to pull it out or pushing it back in. I also find the wheels are too small to be able to back the case down or pull the case up a flight of stairs. There are these nubs on the back of the case that stick out and catch the edges of the stairs and prevent the case from moving up or down. See the photos. All and all, even with these problems the case is still worth owning IMO, which is why it got just 4 stars.

I purchased this case to hold my AV equipment and I am very happy with it. It holds my camera and lenses and accessories nice and snug and I love how customizable it is. No cutting foam so If you change your gear set up you just reconfigure the inside. Its a very sturdy case, I dont worry about my expensive equipment in this

I upgraded from the ‘Amazon basics’ version which only came with foam inserts. This is on a very different level. It’s lighter yet sturdier, the dividers are fantastic and this for me is way better value than the more expensive pelican air 1535. Get this, protect your stuff and keep it all together.

At such a smaller cost than the 1510, a great deal. The padded dividers are such a must have for this thing. I am a travelling mechanic and have made a tool box out of this case and it's great. Been on two trips and holding up great, the wheels work great in the airport too!
