Review: Great way to keep a battery close at hand - Great item to keep in the kit. Perfect for keeping a V-Mount battery close by as an extra, or to power a handheld/gimbal without adding weight to the rig.
Review: Life saver for camera gimbal users… - I was browsing on YouTube one day, looking at ways that I could attach a battery to my gimbal. I came across a video recommending this V-Mount belt clip, and had to give it a shot. The quality is unmatched, frankly I think it’s the only product that exists, but for anyone needing a secure, easy to remove solution, smallrig has it! It felt secure on my belt and its size is perfect for any belt that you throw at it. It performed nicely under pressure, and was attached to me for 4 days straight, long 8 hour days. I would recommend this to anyone needing a quick and easy solution to offload the weight off of the gimbal, and onto your person instead. Definitely recommend purchasing this for your next gig!

## Features

- 【Lightweight V-Lock Plate】SmallRig 2990 utilizing a standard V mount fits most V mount batteries to provide more excellent battery life for your camera rig with your battery's power port(s). The plate fits most V-mount batteries, but it is NOT compatible with PAGlink series V mount batteries and NOT compatible with Patona Premium Battery for BP-190WS. The mount has no electronics and is meant to mount a battery that has its own power outputs to power your gear.
- 【Mount V-Mount Battery On A Belt/Strap】On the back, SmallRig 2990 features a belt clip that secures onto a thin surface such as a belt or strap. It helps hang a V mount battery on a waist belt or a backpack shoulder strap to reduce your camera rig's weight.
- 【Clip Features Anti-Slip Design】The anti-off design on the edge of the belt clip helps catch the belt's bottom if forces pull it up to prevent it from falling off.
- 【Mounting Options】The plate itself features two 1/4-20" countersinks, two 1/4-20" thread holes, and four M4 thread holes, which can be used to attach a dual rod clamp, a magic arm, or other accessories, which will help mount a V mount battery to your camera rig as needed.
- 【Aluminum & Stainless Steel Construction】It is constructed with durable aluminum and weighs only 2.2 oz. A mini shape design makes it lighter and more portable.
- 【Related Products】SmallRig mini V-mount Battery VB50 (50Wh) 3579 and VB99 (99Wh) 3580 are now available, multi-interfaces and PD fast-charging design, widely compatibility use for cameras, camcorders, monitors, smartphones, etc.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for handheld rigs
*by B***P on February 10, 2026*

I bought this to free up some weight off my camera rig, I originally had a double v mount with shark fins and that made it super heavy. Now I can use my BMPCC longer without my arms burning haha
