these props are a good value and hold up well. takes a lot to break one

They work great and are surprisingly tough

Been using these for a while now and they seem as sturdy as the name brand props with identical performance. No issues at all. The do seem to be balanced well too.

Fit many different shafts and mounts

I bought 8 of these at a good price but all are worthless and are now in the trash. All 8 were significantly out of balance. I have been flying RC for a long time and have never seen propellers so out of balance. It is not worth my time to return these but please don't buy this Gemfan junk. I should have just bought APC propellers which are always, after using dozens of their props over the years, substantially in balance with no issues with vibration due to pitch or hole being true. Usually a light fine sandpaper brushing would balance these APC props perfectly, if needed. To check the balance I used a DuBro stand balancer which is one of the best on the market. I did not check to see if the hubs and pitch were true on the Gembans but my guess is they would not be within specifications,

These props will never balance out as the two blades are not inline with each other. When set on its side on a flat surface the hub is touching the surface one way, and when rotated 180° the hub is 1/16" off the surface. I drew a line from tip to tip straight across the hub and the hub and hole are offset to one side. When I checked with my balancer the prop would only balance perfectly horizontal and only one way. If rotated to any other position, including horizontal 180° from where it balanced, it would rotate back to where it was before. I only checked this out after noticing it vibrated badly on my Eflite Cub S2. I then checked all of the other props in the pack and they are all the same. Went to the local hobby shop and purchased APC props and will be swapping them out before I fly again. 2 stars because they did function, out of balance and shaking the plane badly, but it did fly.
