These alarms work very well. The sound is very loud. They have an on or off switch. The double tape is strong, once it is in place it should stay there for years. It may take a glass scraper to get it off. The battery compartment is tricky so it may be a good idea to practice opening and closing it before you put the alarm in place. You can change the batteries when it is stuck on a window. It does take LR44 batteries, witch I have found on Amazon. This type of battery can last for a long time. If someone tries to break the window, this alarm will go off for about 30 seconds and shut off. If it is touched again, it will go off again. I have one alarm on the glass part of a regular door, you have to knock hard to get it to go off or break the glass. You can open the door, and it will not go off. I did put one of the alarms in the track of glass sliding windows and doors. I did not use the tape, I just set it in the track in the middle were the windows or doors open. When you do this it is even more sensitive, and goes off if someone tries to open them. Or if someone knocks lightly on the glass. This works so well I am getting more to put in all the window tracks.

These are a box of used security devices. Many of them missing batteries. I really like this discontinued device so I may buy more hearing aide batteries for them and keep them anyway. I don’t recommend this seller.
