This is because most chairs that Herman Miller has manufactured over the last 20-25 years use a cable to actuate the gas cylinder. Mirra is one of these chairs. It has a special mechanism on top of the gas cylinder for attaching the cable assembly. This gas cylinder won't work for Mirra.
