*ALMOST* Perfect
I am so torn on this product. On the one hand, it is affordable, mostly well built (more on that later), and has a ton of connections (5, 8, 12, and 14 volt DC along with two USB ports). When I first unboxed it, I was surprised at how "not-cheap" it looked. I fully expected something plastic-y and "budget" in appearance. What you actually get is far from it. Metal, plenty of connectors, and a (mostly) solid build. "Mostly" being the key word there. Then you get to the rail mount. Oh, boy. This part of the device is *so* budget. It is very poorly designed. The screw / wingnut combo in their out-of-the-box set-up are damn near impossible to connect to a rail system. The only way to get it to mount securely is to take the screws out of the blue wing nuts and clamp the unit down with just the screws. Otherwise, your screws are too short to properly mount and therefore properly hold your battery plate and V mount battery onto your rig. The screws strip out of the holes and become impossibly difficult to install. I spent HOURS trying to get the unit to work in its out-of-the-box config but no matter what I did, I could not get the screws in the wing nuts to safely secure my unit. It's just poor design that could easily have been avoided by including screws that were 1/8" to 1/4" larger and honestly soured me on the whole product. Otherwise, this would have been a slam dunk recommendation for anyone kitting out a camera, especially if they want quality but are on a budget.

Works great. Tightening screws not long enough. Modification needed.
Works great. The tightening screws were not long enough. When I tightened them down the pressure stripped the thread. It was only hand tightened. I ended up removing the blue nuts and used an allen key to tighten. By removing the blue nuts it gave extra length to the screws and works fine now.

Screws are a bit weak
I loved the product and it’s many power options but my biggest issue was the the tightening mechanism is a fairly weak, even when they are tightened the plate still swivels almost freely, I tightened as much as I could but unfortunately the screws snapped. Haven’t been able to use it on rods but I just use Velcro now to attach it to a light stand.
