Perfect fit for what I needed. I bought them for one of our utility truck body side doors. I will say that 45Lb is a little too much for a side door, because they push the door open pretty hard. But overall, they work great.

I used these gas struts on a storage cabinet lid, and they work exactly as advertised. The lift is smooth, the strength is just right, and once installed, the lid stays open without any wobbling. The build feels solid, and the two-pack is a good value. The only tricky part was installation — the included instructions aren’t very detailed, so it took a bit of trial and error to get the angles right. Once they were set, though, they worked perfectly. If you need dependable lift support for cabinets, toy boxes, or lids, these do the job well. Just be prepared to spend a little extra time on the install.

Perfect fit and enough strength for my heavy duty floor safe. It replaced a worn out original strut from 40 years ago. Amazing no modifications needed. Now my wife can open the 35lb door with ease.

See video. These struts are not only useless, they will most certainly damage your cabinet by SLAMMING the door open violently. It's too bad, because they feel weighty and well built, but what's the point of that if they don't work?

The units themselves function okay but the chrome rods have already started to rust and we aren’t even close to winter conditions yet so who knows what they’re going to look like after a year or more

Arrived on time. I installed these gas shocks in to my van conversion cabinets. Came with very basic installation instructions but they did not work for me, for the most part it would be difficult to provide instructions as each application varies. I made a dummy cabinet and did a few trial and errors until I came up with a proper way for my application. I didn't use the screws that came with the kit because they were not the proper screw for my application. I ordered the 10" 10lb/45N for my overhead cabinet doors and it was the perfect size because my doors are the shaker style panel doors and the are only about 5lbs. They work well and I'm happy with the product. I would have given it a 5 star if the screws would have been a better quality and maybe more installation instruction options.

Fit perfect but wish I had gone for the 60lb lift not the 45. It does the trick but could use a little stronger lift.

The length of the strut and where to position it, is very well explained. This makes the installation so much easy and fun.
