Poor QC - Does not seal. Supposed to seat in indented channel. Will not fully “seat.” Groove is off 3/16” on 2 of 4 sides. Most people won’t notice this if they just drop it in without looking close. This will not seal, and will allow air to bypass Pre-Filter. Will ask them to send one more to see if this was just a “bad batch.”

I have a different brand machine that is also high end uv purifier, and uses a very similar filter to this, except it's 14 x 14. This one is 13 X 13. My filter, however, is $200, so I opted to try this . I think it works really well. My 14 X 14 comes in a cardboard casing, so I kept that and added the filter. It's definitely filtering my air and doing what it needs to do. I like it and I like knowing there's a doable less-expensive option than my filter for the future.

This HEPA filter is very much like the 'original' OEM version IQ Air used up until about 6 years ago. Good fit and good performance. What did IQ Air change 6 years ago? There was a 'smell/odor' from the glue they used making their HEPA filters so they started using glue that had no smell. Some of these filters from Filter Monster appear to be using the old style glue and I have to assume that is where the smell is coming from (according to a few other reviewers). It's not offensive but it is there. Usually goes away within a few days. I think they (Filter Monster) have also started using a different glue as my filter has no smell at all. Performance wise, these filters work just like the real thing - at a much better price. That's a win. Good deal on this filter and I can easily recommend it.

It didn't seat completely flat in the housing like the OEM does. I couldn't hear an air leak, and it looked like it probably still had a good seal. Nevertheless, I cut some styrofoam to get a better fit. I just got one each for HealthPro Plus and GC Multigas, and it's the same issue for both respective parts (two separate parts, first/bottom filter). It annoyed me just enough that I might pay the extra for OEM next time. Weight and look is good; seems like similar to OEM quality at least at a glance. Filtration is great per a Dylos laser air quality monitor with all non-OEM filters. Is it exactly as good as OEM? I don't know without doing extensive testing, but it's great filtration.

Filter seems to perform well however it's smaller than IQ air branded filters and I had to shim my filter on all 4 sides with cardboard to prevent one of the sides from slipping down. I'll probably buy IQ air filters next time because of this.
