keep it in your toolbox
Saw this on Amazon and thought was worth a try.You need a clear path to use to pull through cables, the magnet is strong and I was successful in what I wanted to do.I have previously used electrician rods when fishing through cables. For the price under £12 its worth keeping in your tool box, a couple of gripes I would have likes a better-quality box to store it in, the box did arrive a bit tattyI would also have liked a smaller bait magnet, although the two supplied worked for meConsidering the price and the success I had on use I will be keeping alongside my Cable access rod kit

Weak magnet
I should know the old adage by now.. “buy cheap, buy twice”I got this to replace the Gekko gripper that was sadly left in the wall of a job. Fortunately, i still have the neodimium magnet of the gripper which has improved this POS (slightly). Build quality is very poor, and if this sees the end of its first job, i will be truly amazed. When i ultimately do replace this garbage, it will be with a Gekko.

Magnets aren't very strong
Disappointed with these if the magnets where stronger then it would be so difficult to fish through. The cord is fine.

Handy little tool.
A handy little tool for electrical work. Ideal for feeding cable through conduit. The magnet has a "pull" of around 4cm so will easily work through plasterboard. Not sure about the claim that "This invincible leader can circumvent 20-foot-high obstacles", may be a miss translation! Box arrived crushed and rather tatty, but contents were fine. Could be improved by supplying a small carry case as the card box is not suitable for long term storage, in summary a good, usefull tool.

Poor magnet
The magnet isn’t good enough through a plaster wall as it keeps dropping down when pulling vertically

doesn't function through anything but the thinnest surfaces
It doesn't function through 12mm drywall which is the most common thing you'll find in house. The magnets barely attract each other and if anything gts in the way (rockwool or any other insulation) there is not chance you can feed it through. Also the magnetic bits are actually pretty big so you're going to have so make a hole at least 15mm diameter to pass a cable that's 3mm... And that's the small rectangular bit, the bigger oval bit you're probably looking at a 5cm hole and it doesn't even provide more traction on the magnet.Overall useless unless your house is made with 5mm plywood.

Brilliant quality tool
The product arrived early, instructions very clear to follow, build quality is great and has already proved to be worth its weight in gold to me.

Total piece of rubbish. They have very weak magnets.
The media could not be loaded. Not fit for purpose. The magnet is too weak.
